Adding itself to the long list of Theist neighbours that wish to annihilate its existence , would no be sensible.

It’s well to realise, Israel is a Democracy with its attendant structures.

Shame is, it is not supported by a plethora of similar Democracies that have aligned themselves with Islamist Theocracies, particularly in the ME where Israel fights a lone war against what you are suggesting.

And how strange anyway - do you really believe that Israel's neighbours, including the Hamas et al., are led by God and do His bidding?

Anyway, Israel becoming a spiritual superpower is way into the long term future, for now it should just stop its military belligerence and instead concentrate on what it is best at, becoming an intellectual, scientific and medical giant.

Also, Israel has no reason to define itself in relation to its neighbours - neither in war nor in peace.

In their own mind, yes they do. They firmly believe theirs is a God given mission.
Israel is in the grip of a religious war. Cleanse the world of infidels, starting with the Jews, and finishing off with anyone and everyone not compliant with Islam.

Israel is an independent country - whatever its deluded neighbours happen to think or fail to think, is totally irrelevant for what Israel should strive for.
