Labor, how do I loathe thee? : Comments

By John Mikkelsen, published 7/5/2024

I'm probably not alone in finding it surprising that Federal Labor still had around 30 to 32 percent primary support in recent polls - an all-time low. But how low can they go?

This hard right site wheels out these rabid old conservatives like John Mikkelsen, with monotonous regularity, all to pan the Albanese Labor Government, and progressive politics in general, so be it. Then on cue, good old ttbn followed by a couple of others from the Usual Suspect brigade, will be there first up with comments in agreement. However now and then, a lefty, or should I say a moderate progressive will be given a bit of air time, all in the name of OLO "balance". This guy, like his article is full of it, and not worth commenting on, I'll leave that to ttbn and his forum side kicks.

It is truly fascinating how blue collar, no tertiary education, climate change denying authors hate Labour.

Same thing has been engineered in the US with rednecks all Trump supporters. The chattering masses here also have not realised how they have been manipulated.

Something that authors should understand is that when you headline with 'Hate ...' most people don't take the content seriously, because, well, you are a hater. You are biased.

But carry on, the right-wing circle-jerk is fun to watch.

Well, we can hope they bleed more votes to The Greens who keep gaining ascendancy on the nonsense of liberal lite that Labor has become, Gough must be turning in his grave as Malcom must be in his, as he sees liberal becoming GOP lite (remembering he backed The Greens when he rage quit the Libs) . And the Greens can then claim more seats, one coffin at a time as the conservatives who are hell bent on destroying the planet and the nation move on to whatevers beyond this mortal coil.

Paul1405,
Looks more like a case of being right is too hard on your warped mentality ?

Random (Ron) it's great you have the psychic powers looking down your nose to know whether an author has a tertiary education or what colour collars he wears, but then you mis-read "Loathe" as hate (back to school for you)... and PS with the low standard of entry to tertiary institutions and the pro-Palestine rabble trying to block universal education these days I hate to think of what our future holds. And it may help you and other socialist acolytes to realise that education doesn't end at high school or university and that the list of highly educated scientists who don't believe CO2 is the main driver of climate change is longer than your outstretched arms even if you're holding hands with Paul 1045.

Indy,

"Common sense & reasonable decency aren't found on both sides of the fence." An old fella like you wouldn't have a clue. Met a newly elected politician just the other day, full of enthusiasm, keen to get involved, wants to do a good job. Unlike you, she has a social conscience wanting to improve things for the community. Only a month in office she's done a couple of good things already. What good have you ever done in 50 years on taxpayer funded welfare?

BTW; before you ask, she's not from the Greens or Labor, certainly not from One Nation or The Fat Clive Party, she's from the Liberal National Party of Queensland! Unlike you, or the mug who wrote this article, I can give credit where credit is due.
