I don’t hate money & I wouldn’t mind improving my finances but I’d not con someone or pretend to offer a good deal when it is not just so I can get hold of more money.
I’m fed up with people who demand more for no increased effort or even the slightest productivity.
One just has to observe the absolute greed of the housing market right now & no Govt. is addressing that nor making any effort whatsoever to curb the excessive money antics of bureaucracy !

Indyvidual- I didn't think that you hated money. I was just trying to clarify what I thought you might have been saying- and thought that others like Ayn Rand put things better than I could- even though she wasn't really from my culture.

In a sense nothing good is happening from the property market- maybe we should be moving real estate agents and property developers into other professions. I'd like to see more housing tasks done by owner builders with minimal red tape- perhaps with better training documentation. If buildings used more durable construction then you might need to replace them half as often.

Canem Malum,
Without a kind of National Service the deterioration of our social values will simply just pick up speed.
I witness ordinary everyday people being more greedy albeit not as successful at it than those multinational companies they accuse of being greedy !

Indyvidual- There is a crisis of trust in Australia created by DEI/DIE policy. We need national service to defend against "external" enemies but "internal" trust and cohesion to act decisively. Some on this forum that are previous serving personnel that are not in favour of universal national service in Australia because they believe it will bring more of societies problems into the military- I'm not sure but I trust these peoples perspective- but it needs context. From my experience I know that service changes the way you think- and I think that most people gain from serving- but will the military and Australia benefit? Anyway I'm open to both viewpoints. Basicly my answer is I don't know.

Maybe we just need better support for those that do volunteer to serve.
