Great article from Bettina Arndt- $300K to defend himself from the false charges- and may not get the money back- you can't always claw the money back from the police- or the accusers. Many might find themselves convicted. These sorts of events undermine the confidence of men in women- and make them think that women are too much trouble. People work for ten years of their lives to earn $300K after tax only to lose it in lawfare (warfare). This is likely to decrease the motivation to be productive. We should be encouraging people to be productive because it benefits everyone.

George Pell's greatness grew for me due to the way that he stoicly faced the accusations before his sad death recently.
I suppose that the communist left will continue to beat the dead horse forever. Long live George Pell from little old Australia that managed to climb to the heights of the Catholic Church in service. Posted by Canem Malum, Thursday, 20 April 2023 8:37:09 AM

Posted by Indyvidual- Well, isn’t it $$ these entrapment Sheilah’s are after ?
Answer- Hebrew author and anti-communist Ayn Rand says in the Francisco D Anconia speech that- virtue isn't about money it's about how "the sheilah" got it. “An honest man" (or woman) "is one who knows that he" (or she) "can't consume more than he has produced.” ― Ayn Rand Ayn Rand considered that being called a man was a compliment to a woman. http://www.armstrongeconomics.com/library/books/franciscos-money-speech-from-atlas-shrugged/ http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/tag/francisco-d-anconia “Money is your means of survival. The verdict which you pronounce upon the source of your livelihood is the verdict you pronounce upon your life. If the source is corrupt, you have damned your own existence. Did you get your money by fraud? By pandering to men’s vices or men’s stupidity? By catering to fools, in the hope of getting more than your ability deserves? By lowering your standards? By doing work you despise for purchasers you scorn? If so, then your money will not give you a moment’s or a penny’s worth of joy. Then all the things you buy will become, not a tribute to you, but a reproach; not an achievement, but a reminder of shame. Then you’ll scream that money is evil. Evil, because it would not pinch-hit for your self-respect? Evil, because it would not let you enjoy your depravity? Is this the root of your hatred of money? “Money will always remain an effect and refuse to replace you as the cause. Money is the product of virtue, but it will not give you virtue and it will not redeem your vices. Money will not give you the unearned, neither in matter nor in spirit. Is this the root of your hatred of money? Take care Indyvidual. Posted by Canem Malum, Tuesday, 25 April 2023 1:00:49 AM

Which women are “running around saying all men are rapists”?
It is a well-established fact that most sexual assaults are not reported to police – about 87%, according to the ABS. If the publicity around the Higgins case caused a few more women to come forward and report that they had been attacked, surely that’s a good thing.
https://www.abs.gov.au/articles/sexual-violence-victimisation#police-recorded-victims-of-sexual-assault
I accuse Arndt of misrepresentation because she does not accurately represent her data source, which attributes the increase in reported assaults to greater willingness to report, not an increase in women lying. Her article does not link to the NSW police analysis, which she could easily do, but instead to a picture of the graph she uses. I believe she did this deliberately so that she does not draw readers’ attention to the explanation provided by NSW police, which contradicts her own interpretation. Arndt has form with this type of misrepresentation. Her previous OLO article was an outrageous exercise in cherry-picking and misrepresenting ABS data in a failed effort to discredit data showing that women on average work longer hours than men.
I describe her as “vile” because she deliberately misrepresents her data source in order to imply that the spike in reported sexual assault was caused primarily by false accusations by women inspired to imitate Brittany Higgins. For the record, I also have concerns about the “believe the victim” mentality, which can be used to weaponise sexual assault allegations– the cases of Christian Porter and George Pell come to mind. But it is utterly disgusting to imply that most of the additional reported assaults were “young women keen to have their Higgins moment”.
