Ottawa’s suicidal climate plans a cautionary tale for governments everywhere : Comments

By Tom Harris and Jay Lehr, published 19/4/2022

Politicians leading the City of Ottawa have fallen hook, line and sinker for climate alarmism and, as a consequence, Canada's national capital is on the verge of a deadly self-induced crisis.

Alan,

If you want thorium reactors you will have to wait for the prototypes to be tested and the final designs to be developed. I suspect that as renewables continue to fall short of the hype, nuclear will get a bit more interest. In the meantime I think it a shame we don't copy the PRC and build coal fired power stations that could be converted to nuclear if a viable reactor were developed. I very much enjoy the talks given by this fellow:

It seems to be gradually sinking in that the conventional theory
on global warming is all wrong.
Agree Alan, how are the Indians going with their thorium reactor ?

Back about 40 years ago someong mistook the rising temperature to be
caused by burning coal from the early 1800s through to burning oil
today. They made a fundamental mistake;
Most of the temperature rise is caused by a natural process which
caused the temperature to rise from about the 1400s.
This process is caused by the following;
The sun's radience variation.
The earth's orbit around the sun.
The rotation of the earth's orbit around the sun.
The tilt of the earth axis.
The sunspot cycle.
The variation in the intensity of the sunspot cycle.
The expulsion of plasma from the sunspots.
The disturbance of the earth Magnetic Field due to the plasma.
The deflection of cosmic rays away from earth caused by change in magnetic field.
The change in the cloud cover of earth caused by cosmic rays.
The change in cloud cover causing warming and cooling and reflection of sun into space.
Natural co2 causes a small temperature change.

All this results in a cycle that varies in length between 500 and 1000 years.

The cyclic warming occurred in the Minoen, Roman, Medieval, Maunder Minimum, and modern times.

We are currently near the peak according to J Kauppenin.
It should start to be noticible that it is getting colder in 100 years.
Doesn't that all seem more likely than that man can control the climate ?

I spoke to a online friend from Canada about the situation over there.
He's over in the oil rich eastern side of the country, is just about to head out to fight fires during the summer.
He says that everyone there HATES Trudeau, that his government could not even secure a single candidate in ANY of the eastern regions.

And that the government robs them blind of the natural resources there.
Their part of the country is essentially paying for everything, and nobody there wants anything to do with Trudeau.
They all want to secede.
