Jordan & Israel can end the 100 years old Jewish-Arab conflict : Comments

By David Singer, published 6/4/2022

It took Jordan's King Abdullah II just a 10 minutes' helicopter flight from Jordan to Ramallah on 26 March to meet Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) leader Mahmud Abbas in Ramallah.

Well given Jordan and Israel are at war! They are the two parties that can negotiate a comprehensive and binding treaty!? And needs to start with Israel withdrawing its occupying army! And return to the borders that were created by the U.N. in 1947!

Given, before then the State of Israel had ceased to exist save in ancient biblical text. With that done an dusted? Jordan and Israel can cease all current hostilities and coinhabit in peace as noncombatant neighbours. And, good luck with that one, self deluding, delusional David.

Dear Alan,

Jordan and Israel are not at war and there are no hostilities between them.

---

Mathematically, if you allow a monkey to press the keys of a typewriter at random long enough, then eventually he will type the Bible correctly.

And indeed, the author got one point right this time:

"Abdullah needs to rethink supporting the PLO's demand"

Yes, but his best interest lies in staying completely out of the West Bank, not having anything good or bad to do with it, as if it never existed - certainly not to have any business with its hostile population that could only undermine his throne and Jordan's stability.

Instead, the author suggests that Abdullah should sacrifice his throne and his country, likely even his very life, for what? For his delusional ambition to solve this laughable imaginary "Arab-Jewish conflict"...

Yuyustu. I knew all that. And biblical is a word and I have spelt correctly. I was just making the point you picked up. King Abdullah is not at war with Israel! So he need not do anything. It's not his fight nor territory that is illegally annexed. And David knows that.

Yet persists as if the opposite were true. And that being so, no end in sight to the bloodletting and conflict.

I was being sarcastic to make my point.

Russia is also trying to annex the territory of others on even more flimsy reasoning, but just as illegal.

The only solution in the Middle East, is a negotiated two state solution And David knows it! But as always, wants the conflict to continue along with the illegal land grab until Israel butts up against the Jordanian border.

And that possibility would end with a negotiated two state solution all can live with!

Dear Alan,

«The only solution in the Middle East, is...»

For there to be a solution there first needs to be a problem.

While there are some real problems in the Middle-East (and where not?), the problem(s) which the author attempts to address in his barrage of articles are imaginary, all inside his own mind.

So before proceeding, and assuming to your credit that you do not share the author's delusions, would you be kind enough to tell me which particular Middle-East problem(s) are you referring to in this particular case (for which a two-state situation is presumably a solution)?

Your use the word "illegal" three times in your last post to describe Jews settling in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) is patently false.

Jews have the legal right to settle there for the purposes of reconstituting the Jewish National Home in what was their ancient and biblical heartland under articles 6 and 25 of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine and article 80 of the United Nations Charter.
