The killer cult of self-esteem : Comments

By Lillian Andrews, published 15/3/2022

When postmodern preoccupations, progressive politics and public health collide, the result is always ugly, especially when this toxic creature campaigns under the vaunting promise of 'saving lives'.

Sadly the time has passed for fixing the problem. The confusion created by this toxic ideological creation aimed squarely at children, has spawned idiocies of gender confusion overseen by helicopter parents themselves born of a timidity only surpassed by our political guiders. These are historically unprecedented times.

Good on you Lillian. The conundrum is that what is called 'self-esteem' is accompanied by total uselessness, lack of talent and reliance on government.

reliance on government.
ttbn,
largely self-serving, integrity-devoid bureaucrats who don't support the Govt they're supposed to work with for society !

The rise in suicide rates seems to be coincident with rises in immigration/ unemployment/ rises in house prices/ cost of living- must be my imagination. The more social engineers manipulate the markets for their own short term benefits and compromise principles the less the incumbent population will see the benefits of the markets and society. Stiglitz though perhaps not part of traditional Anglo-British culture makes this point- "No one will participate in a regime in which they don't benefit".
