Schwarten’s 'Covid logic' cruelly divides Queenslanders : Comments

By Graham Young, published 18/1/2022

It's far past time that people stop playing politics with Covid, as former ALP Old Guard enforcer Robert Schwarten did last week in Queensland.

I suppose that now that the politicians' lies, or ignorance or just damn incompetence have failed, they have to blame someone; and it will never be themselves or the 'experts'. The amusing thing is that they are blaming people who are no more dangerous to others than the vaccinated are - according to 'the science'. Vaccination is about personal responsibility, not about saving the whole bloody population.

>If you believe vaccines work, then 85 per cent should be above any threshold
>for herd immunity and as close to 100 per cent as you could need.

There are two reasons why the above is wrong:
Firstly, the effectiveness of vaccines is non boolean. The vaccines may reduce infectiousness but not stop it completely.

Secondly, the 85% figure is arbitrary - more contagious viruses require a higher percentage, whereas a lower figure will do for less contagious ones. Unfortunately the Omicron strain is far more contagious than the original Covid.

«That is because natural immunity remains superior to vaccine-induced immunity. This makes sense, as the vaccine only switches on part of the body's alarm system to the spike protein. Natural immunity trains the body to react to a whole range of other viral characteristics through broad-based protection.»

Indeed, this is a grim oversight by all Australian jurisdictions.

In the rest of the world, those who have recovered are counted as vaccinated. Israeli research shows that the recovered are then immune for a full year, though in Israel they only share the privileges with the fully vaccinated for 6 months, following which they are still required to receive ONE doze if they wish to maintain these privileges.

Look, the unvaccinated are far more likely to be carriers and super spreaders! Whereas the vaccinated, much less so, particularly the triple vaccinated.

Moreover, it is in the willfully ignorant unvaccinated where the virus can and does mutate! And they are 24 times more likely to wind up seriously ill in hospital! As for herd immunity? As Graham says, as close to 100% as possible!

Trying to play politics with a pandemic, is however, just not on!

Totally wrong Alan.

It is the partial effect of these inefficient vaccines that force & assist the virus to mutate. This is a well known fact, as is the fact that an incomplete treatment with antibiotics assist mutations in microbes. Same thing different animal, but the reasons are the same.

<< Look, the unvaccinated are far more likely to be carriers and super spreaders! >>

That is not correct. They are only likely to carry and superspread if they are unhealthy, don't work at strengthening their immune systems and refuse to social distance and wear masks.

As pointed out by Graham, the unvaccinated are choosing to use << other methods to stay healthy, spending their own money ensuring they are as fit and healthy as possible and investing in prophylactics. >>

They understand the concept of natural immunity which Australian governments and most conventional health professionals in this country clearly do not, as evidenced by the Djokovic debacle. Djokovic has had Covid twice and once only recently. He's far better protected than if he'd been vaccinated and what's more his own natural immune system remains intact.

The Queensland government this morning is telling people to get vaccinated even when they've just had Covid. This is reckless and misguided advice. Not only are vaccinations in these circumstances completely unnecessary, they also greatly increase the risk of adverse vaccine reactions.

To insist a top class sportsperson who's acquired natural Covid immunity should be double (or triple) vaccinated when he's in the high risk group for myocarditis just goes to show how ignorant our governments are on Covid. Their number one solution is to push vaccines onto everyone, regardless of the need or the risk. Fortunately, some of us can think for ourselves and can assess our own levels of risk and take our own precautions.

We can be the control group down the track when the long term effects of vaccination are becoming increasingly evident. We can be part of the studies done to compare the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. But of course those studies will never be done. Or if they are, as has always been the case, they'll be small and underfunded. They'll never have the torrents of Big Pharma money pumped into them as do the current vaccine trials, which by the way do not even have an unvaccinated control group.
