Hi Chris. I would just love to debate you on that point. But when I tried to engage with you on your own topic, you dismissed all of my many posts to you with sneery one liners, or curt replies. You neither answered any of my many questions or elaborated on any of your airy declarations.

So pisss up a rope.

Contrary to ttbn Jesus who is sometimes and quite rightly called The Prince of Peace, and The Light of the World was of course completely "wet".

Two of the original "wet" documents at the root of Christianity and therefore Western culture altogether are of course Jesus's Sermon on the Mount and The Beatitudes.

But who was the Real Jesus? Was he even in any sense like the kind of Jesus as promoted by those on the right side of the culture wars, including the author of the featured essay and of course Opus Dei? And all Christians of any persuasion too.

That having been said why not read the pdf version of the 572 page book titled The Real Christ by the extraordinary Christian Comtemplative Bernadette Roberts http://freddieyam.com/down/roberts.real-christ.pdf

Which is as far removed from the (mis)understanding of Jesus promoted by the right wing culture war warriors.

Hey Lego, it is ok to admit you are wrong.

Western civilisation never started with Christianity
