By Guy Hallowes, published 19/10/2021

With the recent release of the ‘Pandora Papers’ there is no longer any doubt that corruption is pervasive throughout the world, including Australia.

Yeah, corruption exists everywhere. But Christian European countries have the lowest corruption index in the world. This will change with the importation of third world people from low trust societies into our high trust first world societies. When European societies become just as corrupt as third world and Asian societies, the woke will rejoice that there is now "equity".

I believe corruption starts and ends with political donations. If donations as high, at the time, of $100,000.00 do not buy something, like e.g., access?

I'm not saying that is necessarily corrupt or illegal, but hugely problematical, inasmuch as such donations turn democracy into little more than a spectator sport, as taxpayer money is committed to huge white elephant projects or the nation welded to coal/fossil fuels when we need something far cleaner and less costly, like MSR thorium!

I don't believe we would still be burning or mining coal but for extremely generous political donations from the Peabody corporations of this world?

Simply put, neither the economy nor jobs are, or were ever dependant on the mining of coal or gas!

There are and were far better options that pay/paid far more and are/were significantly safer and far better for the national economy, all round!

Leave that one with you. THINK!

Alan B.,
Corruption may start with political donations, but it certainly doesn't end there.

LEGO,
According to the article it's New Zealand which has the lowest corruption index in the world. And although corruption is low in Europe now, that hasn't always been the case. And you only have to look at our PM's Sport's Rorts to see that Christianity is not the panacea it should be.

It's not the importation of people that causes the problem, it's the denigration of standards. If we set the standards, stick to them and ensure everything is well publicised, new arrivals will quickly fall into line. But if we tolerate corruption, deny corrupt behaviour really is corrupt, and persecute the whistleblowers, we're sending a clear message that we're no better than the old country.

Alan B,
I believe corruption flourishes because bureaucrats are not reprimanded for not performing !

Complete rubbish, Aiden. To start with, New Zealand is a western society too. And you are indirectly denying that there is no ethnic component in crime. Good luck promoting that that stupid idea. Even the Left knows that you are wrong, even though they would publically agree with you because they want the ethnic vote.

Ethnic criminal behavior is right out of control in every western country and it is the same dysfunctional ethnicities who make up the welfare rolls and prison populations in every western society.

You don't have to be a Mensa from the local Audubon society to figure out that if you imp[ort people from low trust societies into high trust societies they are going to take advantage of our trust. Every time there is a case of widespread fraud, especially involving insurance fraud and welfare fraud, I gnash my teeth because the fake news press will never reveal the ethnicities of the perpetrators. It is only when things get completely out of hand (ie The Greek Conspiracy Case in NSW, or the "Tahitian Prince" who looted Queensland Health) that the long suffering Australian public get a glimpse of what is happing.

Talked with a couple of retired self-employed yesterday who condemned Morrison for making it difficult for them to receive the old age pension.
I think they are the typical Labor voters who, in their working days wrote off everything from a pen to the petrol for fishing to having dinners with friends or rather like-minded.
Obviously, they've paid as little as possible in taxes all their working lives yet now they complain that they can't get the pension because Morrison's outfit has reduced the asset limit.
Typical Labor voters is all I can say !
