With the recent release of the ‘Pandora Papers’ there is no longer any doubt that corruption is pervasive throughout the world, including Australia.

LEGO,
You're the one posting complete rubbish - you're ignoring the facts and trying to use corruption to justify your own xenophobia to everyone else, whereas I'm pointing out that corruption is already endemic, and dealing it requires setting and enforcement of standards. Since I posted it I've found things are worse than I realised - the government blocked the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry into Christian Porter's actions ofter the Speaker of the House found there was a case against him.

You're also going after strawmen - I never denied that NZ is a western society and never said anything about whether there's an ethnic component in crime in general. But if there's a corruption problem amongst immigrants, the way to deal with it is to make it clear that we're not like where they came from, and corruption will not be tolerated.

Unfortunately the government seems intent on sending the opposite message.

Are we really a high trust society? And should we be? Why?

Are you aware that the "Tahitian Prince" was actually from NZ?

I was not aware of the Greek Conspiracy Case in NSW, but considering what I subsequently read at http://piac.asn.au/2013/02/22/the-greek-conspiracy/ I can see why the press are so reluctant to reveal ethnicities.
