By Ken Calvert, published 11/10/2021

Plastic can be put to so many helpful and efficient ways. Waste plastic should be burnt by municipalities.

Jay Cee Ess,
what Mr Clavert has said here about Christiana Figueres is as close to a word perfect quote as possible.

'Scuse my french, but I'm calling bull$#!t on that!

>I watched a video of here actually saying so within the past week. That is her goal within the UN.

Then perhaps you'd care to post a link to it? But you won't, because no such video exists.

>Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is not dangerous to anyone or anything
>in the proportions that are expected within the next century.

It's already having a dangerous effect on the climate, and that effect is going to get far worse if we carry on the way we have been.

>From my recent readings, the transfer of plastic nanoparticles into the blood stream
>and entry into brain tissue has been a supposition and not proven.

AIUI the transfer of plastic nanoparticles into the bloodstream and organs has been proved in animals, and while it may not yet have been proven in humans, there's no reason to suppose it won't occur in humans, the toxins commonly found in plastic nanoparticles have been detected in human urine, and it's expected measurement of plastic nanoparticles in humans will commence later this year.

I don't know if there's any evidence it occurs in the brain though.

>when present in the bodies of small vertebrates on the death of the animal they
>sink to the bottom and end up enclosed in the natural detritus of the marine path.

That's good... in the minority of cases where the remains of the animal sink all the way to the bottom. But isn't it far more common for them to be scavenged beforehand?

I just had a horrible thought. What is the likelihood that Aidan is a school teacher, spouting all this absolute garbage he believes to our kids. I have met some pretty stupid teachers who believe this tripe, but never to the level of indoctrinated bull s##t this bloke produces.

The only people who don't know the facts about Christiana Figueres are those who shut their eyes & ears when ever the truth appears.

A quick note of thanks Ken. It has always puzzled me that we (they) cannot think sensibly about managing our 'fantastic plastic' waste. We now have a whole generation (or two) living in fear of plastic and coming up with irrational, expensive and ineffective solutions.

A few years ago I attended a community forum where people volunteered to collect plastic waste from one another's homes and take it to the municipal depot, which of course, sent it to landfill. I guess they all felt better for the gesture and for having transferred the guilt and putting the plastic out of sight and out of mind. Makes you laugh.

I was looking for bags and it was new for me, that some manufacturers produce their bags using plastic bottles.
