The only reason that there are Arabs in the area under contenion is
that they invaded and conquered the while area. That the majority of
the population is still Jewish would seems to settle the argument.
Although the Romans founded Londinium I doubt if the Italian government
would consider claiming London.

Just the usual - the author thinks that he controls Israel and may order them and their Prime Minister what to do, so as to fit his own goals rather than the democratic choices of its people.

Why, they ARE at peace already.

It is like from the standpoint of a child who happens to see his/her parents having sex: they think that it is violent, that Dad is about to kill Mom... Same here in the Middle East, the parties do just what they like most - fight each other. The absence of peace is only when seen from a Western viewpoint: what you consider peace, they consider boredom!
