The logistics of a pandemic : Comments

By Craig Minns, published 13/8/2021

Professor Doherty has just released a very influential and convincing report on the sorts of vaccination levels we need to achieve and it seems to have pushed our Federal Govt into some action, at last.

This socialist know-it-all "Logistics Equation", which produces 100s of cases a day in Sydney, has no place in a god-fearing Australian democracy. Scott and Gladys will fight it with all their might, until it learns to behave itself properly.

The people pulling the strings and really enjoying their unexpected power and notoriety - the 'experts' who haven't practised any practical medicine since, well ever, don't listen; the politicians who know nothing about anything just bray what they are told to bray. Ditto for amateur scribblers.

Terry Barnes this morning:

The Fair Work Ombudsman ruled yesterday that mandatory vaccinations could be insisted upon by employers in Covid hotspots, but not necessarily where there have been few if any Covid infections. Sound like if you’re in a job you hate in a WuFlu red zone, you’ll need a little prick to work for a big one.

And ... Tony Abbot has called for a Royal Commission into the handling of the Covid mess. Good on you, Tony. The two peanuts who got rid of you have been rubbish. One still is.

Craig. Well done and Top marks for your basic maths! Albeit, not comprehended by those who protest in the streets? About personal freedom etc! Freedom which has never ever included a right to knowingly or unknowingly to infect others with a killer virus!

For some two whole weeks of your own company is intolerable punishment! Why? Because in your heart you are an A hole, you can barely tolerate? Or the domestic slaves you rely on are absent and you have to do stuff for your over-privileged self!?

Back to the main topic, one of the logistics routinely overlooked y the government and the opposition has been and remains, island quarantine! Simply put, island quarantine would have kept the virus offshore.

And if airline staff were included, say on Hamilton island? Which has a decent runway. All airline staff could have used it as the accommodation between active duty? I mean their feet should never made it into a terminal but headed straight for a connecting Hamiton island flight.

When you are an island nation. Anything you get that is not already here has to come from over there!

If herd immunity is the goal then we need around 95% vaccinated. and that number has to include all children over six months!

It will include the ASAP rollout of already developed therapeutics that destroys 99.99% of the virus load in sick patients or if there's a political will, relatively healthy folk! Healthy folk who are not aware of how many brain cells this thing is killing, irreversibly in the host?

And not good news for those who were already a little short-changed in that department? TBC.

A thin article in search of something new to say.

Only new info is the bit at the bottom":

"About the Author

Craig is a man. He lives in Brisbane. He loves his children. And his dog, except when he raids the bin."

Yeah. I hope the dog guarding the bin while Craig tries to raid it.

Some questions for Alan B
1. Why do these vaccines not stop you getting the virus?
2. Why do these vaccines not stop you passing on the virus?
3. Has anyone but the very old or the people with other health
problems died of the Covid?
4. Why dosen't this virus just kill everybody because loads of people
cannot even catch it?
5. What about that magic Bismuth from the Thorium reactors, has that
been tried?

Apparently a hospital trial of a new treatment for Covid19 has commenced in New Zealand using a Colostrum product proven in the lab to destroy the virus.

Don't know any more than that, but perhaps there are some new & better approaches than experimental vaccines.

We are now in a "third wave" of lockdowns, with half the population in home detention. Let's face it: nothing is working, as per usual when governments take over from individual self-responsibility.

J.B. THe vaccinnes we have on the table currently do just one thing. make this pathogen less deadly for the vaccinated. To the point that some may have little more than a sniffle for a week or two.

Nobody is claiming they don't stop you fo either getting the virus or spreading it! Even so, there are therapeutics that have killed 99.99% of the viral load in hamsters. Or and out of patent nasal spray that if used thrice daily, gives reasonable protection for health workers.

That said, the best protection for the entire nation, is not to allow the egress onshore! And only achievable if island quarantine is the first line of defence against a killer virus.

Island quarantine would mean our internal borders could have remained open and life continue as almost normal. And given international travel off the table, our accommodation facilities could have been saved for the travelling holidaymakers. And made the usual tourist destinations full to overflowing with Aussies and maybe, Kiwis.

In fact, as has been shown, doing better, now that international travel is off the table. At least, when we weren't shut down as a consequence of highly incompetent, blind, blinkered, recalcitrant quarantine administration! More concerned with looking after cronies than the nation?

Hasbeen, interesting observation!

J.B. Yes the virus has killed young people too. And made others very sick. There's a Kamakase syndrome, in young folk caused by the pathogen, where the immune system goes into autoimmune overdrive and starts attacking the important internal organs. And never ends well! Costs a sheep station or two to treat. But that only delays the inevitable for the uncomprehending dribbling patient!

As to minimising the outcome? Mass graves are never ever a sign of relative insignificance or risk! And could be our future if we don't get off our butts and get vaccinated ASAP!

And that could have been the outcome months ago, but for rank incompetence at the helm. Albeit, the helm was first in line for the jab! And about when complacency replaced the frantic urgency that preceded it.

J.B. Could the virus be treated with bismuth 213? Don't know mate, we don't have any and last time I looked the was just 3 grams left on the planet.

But now that the Chinese are installing MSR thorium in some ships and subs. May soon have a new source of supply?

Anything that can be attached to a specific antibody can be used like a snipers bullet to kill whatever is the target? Nothing is currently ruled in or out. Save, some death sentence cancers were ruled in where bismuth 213 has given many their lives back.

And we've known this for over half a century! As around two hundred million lives were lost, that might have been saved?

Cancer attacks the old and the young without discrimination and over a lifetime, will in one way or another, affect one in every three of us!

Alan B, I asked about the current vaccines because all previous vaccines actually stopped us getting the disease because our body knew it was a pathogen and killed it. These so called vaccines are new technology but are not and have never been vaccines just a profit to big pharma.
Again not everyone catches Covid I believe Whitty in the UK said 70% of people would not be able to catch Covid? So why are we so panic stricken over just another virus? Really deadly viruses (Marburg, Ebola) have a 90% kill rate but they are very unsuccessful because of this. If the virus kills you it dies as well. A successful virus will co-exist and cause us no problems as so many do.
I still cannot understand the rank fear of another common cold virus?

People under 25 have more chance of being hit by lightning than they have of getting sick or dying from Covid. Yet, the urging to get vaccinated is now upon them. It's not for them, the 'experts" say, but to protect people who are due to pop their clogs anyway, through old age or serious illness.

For most of the population, Covid is just a bad flu, very, very unlikely to make you all that ill or kill you. The risk of a Covid death is less than 0.03 percent.

And, for that, we have people snitching on their neighbours, supporting clearly useless and costly lockdowns, and overlooking heavy-handed police tactics.

J.B. The common cold and covid19 are both coronaviruses. But that's where the similarity ends. There's no mass graves the result of the common cold!

Getting the virus and getting over it may confer some limited immunity? But almost worthless when you get a new more deadly variant! And as we've seen with the delta valiant, killing young folk as well and or making others very sick for literal months!

Months where everything was an extreme effort! And months where the internal organs were attacked and permanently damaged in many cases, along with the quality of life!

You can continue to bury your head somewhere warm and comfortable and see only what you want to see? But that and your lassie faire approach changes naught as you display your indifference, corresponding ignorance and wilful blindness/lack of normal human empathy?

Three or four months in hospital gashing for every pain-racked breath is probably the only thing that'll change minds as closed as yours to the truth/evidence-based facts!?

For centuries many sometimes intelligent folk believed the world was flat! And at times with inculcated fanaticism. But such conviction no matter how resolutely held, never ever made a round world flat! And the common cold has never ever resulted in more deaths than two world wars nor mass graves to bury them!

Better the world should suspect you are a fool than to open your mouth to remove all doubt.

Thank you JF and I note what you say AlanB.
I would point out that there has still not been any young people dying of Covid. The usual rank dishonesty and corruption from the medico's is disgusting. Latest was a teenager who recently "Died" of Covid. They have now admitted he actually also had meningitis and the family agreed to this being publicised? I read that as they were going to tab that to Covid but the victim's family stopped our rank dishonesty.
Tony Abbott is right a Royal Commission is needed but it would result in absolute murders in Australia!

Isn't it amazing how all these supposedly super-smart people can dissect every attempt to solve problems but they never manage to produce a solution !
