The logistics of a pandemic : Comments

By Craig Minns, published 13/8/2021

Professor Doherty has just released a very influential and convincing report on the sorts of vaccination levels we need to achieve and it seems to have pushed our Federal Govt into some action, at last.

This socialist know-it-all "Logistics Equation", which produces 100s of cases a day in Sydney, has no place in a god-fearing Australian democracy. Scott and Gladys will fight it with all their might, until it learns to behave itself properly.

The people pulling the strings and really enjoying their unexpected power and notoriety - the 'experts' who haven't practised any practical medicine since, well ever, don't listen; the politicians who know nothing about anything just bray what they are told to bray. Ditto for amateur scribblers.

Terry Barnes this morning:

The Fair Work Ombudsman ruled yesterday that mandatory vaccinations could be insisted upon by employers in Covid hotspots, but not necessarily where there have been few if any Covid infections. Sound like if you’re in a job you hate in a WuFlu red zone, you’ll need a little prick to work for a big one.

And ... Tony Abbot has called for a Royal Commission into the handling of the Covid mess. Good on you, Tony. The two peanuts who got rid of you have been rubbish. One still is.

Craig. Well done and Top marks for your basic maths! Albeit, not comprehended by those who protest in the streets? About personal freedom etc! Freedom which has never ever included a right to knowingly or unknowingly to infect others with a killer virus!

For some two whole weeks of your own company is intolerable punishment! Why? Because in your heart you are an A hole, you can barely tolerate? Or the domestic slaves you rely on are absent and you have to do stuff for your over-privileged self!?

Back to the main topic, one of the logistics routinely overlooked y the government and the opposition has been and remains, island quarantine! Simply put, island quarantine would have kept the virus offshore.

And if airline staff were included, say on Hamilton island? Which has a decent runway. All airline staff could have used it as the accommodation between active duty? I mean their feet should never made it into a terminal but headed straight for a connecting Hamiton island flight.

When you are an island nation. Anything you get that is not already here has to come from over there!

If herd immunity is the goal then we need around 95% vaccinated. and that number has to include all children over six months!

It will include the ASAP rollout of already developed therapeutics that destroys 99.99% of the virus load in sick patients or if there's a political will, relatively healthy folk! Healthy folk who are not aware of how many brain cells this thing is killing, irreversibly in the host?

And not good news for those who were already a little short-changed in that department? TBC.

A thin article in search of something new to say.

Only new info is the bit at the bottom":

"About the Author

Craig is a man. He lives in Brisbane. He loves his children. And his dog, except when he raids the bin."

Yeah. I hope the dog guarding the bin while Craig tries to raid it.
