This is why I have been calling my views "Traditionalist" rather than right or left. The "Traditionalist Side" of the "Political Octogon" (not a simple spectrum) has elements of both the right and left and but isn't as "liberal" as these ideologies. In a sense left and right aren't liberal or free either but have a degenerate and oppressive fetish with "the new"- causing cognitive overload and collapse of society.

Traditionalists believe that "the new" is in the mix but it's not the priority. Traditionalists believe that it's our god given right to choose what we will accept in our own society. More of a bottom up self rule approach- self determination.

Left Liberals want to interfere in in everyone else's business- I think we should leave people alone as long as they stay out of other peoples business. For this reason Left Liberals and perhaps all Liberals are evil dictators.

They don't believe that people have the right to think for themselves.

With the legalisation of abortion, the death toll from this activity dramatically decreased!

Reversing that law to once again make it illegal with unenforceable laws, tantamount to sanctioning murder, given the cost in human life due to hemorrhaging caused by backyard butchers! And without ever reducing the rate of abortions!?

And hemorrhaging that is quickly dealt with in legalised family planning clinics, run by accreditated Clinicians!

SSM is a debate we've had with a landslide in favour of YES! Albeit, not accepted by the bible bashing hard right, who erroneously believe, they have some God-given authority to overrule the national majority?

Based on "claimed" divinely inspired, he said, she said, words written over 2 thousand years ago by scribes who may have or may not have faithfully recorded the words they were transcribing and without any real evidence of the claimed divine inspiration!

Much of which is taken out of context or misunderstood by a largely brainwashed cohort. An unshakable conviction of a flat earth, never ever made it flat!

And just as an unexamined life is not worth living. An unexamined belief system, is not worth believing!

We may well be coming to the end days? But maybe not as interpreted by the fundamentally flawed bible bashing believers?

If Amanda wanted to become relevant!? She would have focused her attention with microscopic detail on hip pocket issues! And just kept her brainwashed religious belief to herself! And a policy that needs to be adopted by all believers!

Leading by ever compassionate example, is the way J.C. did it? And the only template worth a cracker!

Hip pocket issues include the current cost of foreign-owned or controlled, energy!

Our lopsided taxation policy, where few carry the rest.

And the unacceptable level of, corruption, nepotism and cronyism that so marks, business as usual, in this country?

This is where the conviction based people's warriors need to focus their entire political attention on and leave their religious beliefs inside church halls!

Inasmuch as ye do unto the least among you, you also do unto me!

Allowing a large cohort to live below the poverty line in a country as wealthy as Australia, is a cardinal sin and needs to be addressed ASAP!

And not anywhere as difficult as the shonks and shysters in politics etc, would have the mugs out there in mugsville, believe!

Issues that we can address include the legalised removal of profit demand, paper shuffling middlemen, who effectively double the cost of living/doing business.

Price gouged energy, which could be addressed by including MSR thorium, run by competing for your dollar, employee-owned co-ops!

Coupled to a completely reformed tax system that includes everyone, as a flat tax of 15% that kicks in above a very generous threshold!

And where Amanda ought to have focused her attention to gain enough support to run and win as an independent, now today!

If this Amanda Stoker is so popular with voters, why don't she resign from the Liberal Party and stand as an Independent, with all those conservative views of hers. No doubt she would win a quota right off the bat! ttbn could be her campaign manager, he's experenced in conservative politics.

I've met many politicians from various countries, and have met Amanda Stoker twice. I rate her very highly compared to the bulk of pollies, particularly those in more recent times who tend to be career-pollies from uni onwards rather than having a broad experience of life outside politics.

You are in esteemed company, it was historian Nancy MacLean and investigative journalist Jane Mayer, with Kochs central, who suggested that religious and other sociocultural issues are used to form voter coalitions, then allowing governments to pass unpalatable 'radical right libertarian' economic ideology; ably supported by the 'media assembly line'.

Further, and disturbing, is the autocracy that seems to come with it, it's no so much about individual 'freedom and liberty', aka Brandis on 'freedom of speech' to denigrate racially etc., but using the state to stifle dissent which is now liberally used via defamation suits by 'elites'....
