Killing Amanda Stoker : Comments

By Paul Collits, published 21/5/2021

Amanda Stoker is a Queensland Senator of immense talent, traditional views and spine. A rare combo in the Liberal Party these days.

Sorry, but I find little to commend this ideological rant from another authoritarian Conservative of the religious right/hard right.

The pragmatists in the party have moved the Senator and her minority/born to rule views to the bottom of the ticket to improve their chances!

It's as simple as that and the Senator and her Victorian puritanical outdated views/belief system, has been the Author of her own political downfall.

Simply put, if abortion were once again made illegal it wouldn't stop abortion, just drive it underground again and give the backyard butchers a chance to increase the terrible death toll from this activity! The only laws we can make are those that are enforceable!

Gone are the days when the Neo-Nazis, KKK, White Supremists, and hard-right bible bashing fruit loops/extremists are able to infiltrate a political party and then move the moderates out or further to the right!

And are now being monitored as never before after the bloodbath in a Christchurch Mosque!

Better the political death of a hard right posturing pollie with extremist or outdated (immovable dementia personified) views, be moved on/out than to see the death of a once-great liberal party, decimated at the polls!

This Article should have been headed " Sour Grapes from the far Right "

Otherwise , I cannot find anything in it of interest .

As for Senator Abetz He , for some reason , gets rate last below the line by a surprising number of Voters .

I wonder why ?

According to Stoker herself, the real problem is that she isn't sinking enough piss. As Morrison's Australia is stuck in the 1950s, I can well believe it.

The "Liberal Party (has been) no longer the answer" for me since John Howard went. He wasn't perfect, but he was the last conservative in what has become a slightly less repulsive Labor party. Abbott didn't even believe in free speech (reneged on his undertaking to quash Sec 18c), and Turnbull, a straight up Lefty. Now, they have Scott Morrison, who stands for nothing except Scott Morrison.

There is no party in Australia worth voting for; we are going down gurgler, and there is no one to prevent it.

O’Sullivan’s First Law - "all organisations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing”.

The Labor Party is now more left-wing than it was a decade ago. SO IS THE LIBERAL PARTY. See the latests big spending, big government socialist budget, which was inevitable, given the leftward drift of the Liberals, which has been occurring since the demise of the Howard government, but mainly unnoticed by a disinterested electorate that still believes the Marxist's use of words like 'conservative' and 'Tory' for any group or individual who is to the right of the Chinese Communist Party.

The Liberals are just as eager now to rule every aspect of our lives as Labor has always been. Policies on freedoms of speech - or lack of it - are pretty much identical.

How much longer will it be before the political grubs get together and decide that we don't really need to have a vote? Generation Z, who already don't care for democracy, will be taking over not so long from now. In the meantime, they have Scott Morrison to pave the way for them.
