No sympathy here. The chopper is falling onto the deserving end of town.
The product from the over-pandered listed in this article, is so overweighted with profit margins, such as Vets and the medical “industry”, to most people has been rendered irrelevant in their lives.

And further, if we need skilled workers, for a very long time now we import them.

So this situation viewed through the lens of those outside the circle of educational privilege, will not be shedding too many tears.

As the standard of living slides off the sides of the flat earth, for increasing numbers that pay the price of lack of affordability of essential services, staffed by those with high expectations coupled with big rewards, nothing much will change.

ttbn,
The trouble with Australian degree holders is that they are the biggest financial drain of our Tax Dollars ! Some are legitimate & deserving but the great majority aren't !

Over the past three decades Australian universities have become just as much a part of the immigration processing system as they are places of higher learning.

Chinese students enrol to gain an Australian degree for the purpose of turning their temporary student visa into a permanent residency visa.

In the process they take up a university place that could have gone to an Australian and when they complete the degree they then take up a job that could have gone to an Australian.

Then they bring in their dependents from China who don't contribute anything to the country and just sponge off the health system and usually end up getting the age pension as well.

Why is this allowed to happen? So that the politicians, bureaucrats and business people can skim off the profits to be made from these immigrants from uni fees, low wages, etc. but in the end it is the taxpayer who ends up subsidising them.

And Soot, Dazza's Gal, and other LNP types want to force the international border open to reintroduce mass immigration from China even in the face of an ongoing souring of China-Australia relations that might be leading towards a war.

Someone really needs to start thinking about the future rather than profits.

Mr Opinion,
Labor Govts started that ! Now you claim to know what Morrison is thinking ? Stop taking whatever you're on. Labor policies of the Goaf era are what's hounding us now !
Ask Albanese et al how they propose to reverse this trend started by their outfit, instead of expecting Morrison to sort out their mess under a barrage of sabotage from the left !
