The current China-Australia situation is a good old fashioned Soot-up (= Stuff-up).

I reckon Soot's position has become untenable and he will be replaced by Dutton in the lead up to the next election as LNP MPs get more and more anxious about retaining their seats in the face of a Labor landslide victory.
