Is Premier Dan Andrews Australia's most dangerous man? : Comments

By Ken Phillips, published 18/2/2021

The first lockdown, lasting 112 days in 2020 and costing 801 lives resulted directly from disastrously incompetent mismanagement of hotel quarantine by the government.

I don't know individual, reading the above posts, at least one of them might be Andrews alter ego.

This highly infectious contagion has to date taken more lives and created more casualties than two world wars?

The most dangerous men in the field of politics have to be the far-right lunatics in the UK and the USA who were so incompetent, both of them got very sick and had to be hospitalised and in each case were at risk of a prematurely truncated life! Compare that bumbling and denial management model with that of NZ!

Steele, I have to agree with your, FFS take and that not all the outraged cage rattlers are not in the zoo. Andrews and indeed any other political leader is only as good as the advice he or she receives and acts on!

How many of the cage rattlers commenting here are giving the NSW premier a hard time for the ruby princess and the keystone cop release of the first infection into the Australian mainland?

None! And just what you expect from the Alt-right, who can't sleep straight in bed!

We beat the last pandemic that also swept this nation with island quarantine stations alone and could do so again!

And may have to if the mutations get ever more virulent and vaccine-resistant!?

Simply put, island quarantine and just completely isolating the infected and all incoming, has to be a better option now than a hard new lockdown every time this killer disease escapes into the wider and unprotected community.

The anti- vaxers can refuse vaccination but not mandated island quarantine if we had it and some sanity at the helm!

Look geniuses. Properly managed island quarantine and widely utilised thirty-second breath tests would allow the economy to completely restart, albeit with masks, social distancing and strict hand hygiene in mandated play!

Or must we wait for it to mutate and start taking out newborn babies, before the neo-Nazi cage rattlers/Andrews tag-team attack dogs, put a sock in it?

If the cap fits?

SR,

The number of people that think Comrade Dan has done a good job is falling while the number that thinks he's an incompetent moron is increasing.

Every other state has managed not to destroy the state's economy with a massive lockdown by simply having competent quarantine and track and trace while the only quarantine Idiot Dan managed well was a whitewash inquiry into his government's abject failure which found no one responsible for the massive cock-up.

Alan,

The Spanish flu killed 50m people, this pandemic falls far short of that.
WW1 killed about 18m
WW2 killed about 50m with more recent civilian casualties in Russia figures.

Dear shadowminister,

That is patently untrue so why say it?

The last polling done on this by Roy Morgan in late November showed Andrews had jumped 12% to 71%.

You can't just wish these things into existence to make a point. That isn't how it works outside your hard right forums old chum.

Dan's popularity is based on scaring the the pants off people with the deadly-killer-mutant-nebuliser-strain narrative to obscure his quarantine mess. He's at the ready to save everyone with indiscriminant lockdowns and the lockout of internationally stranded countrymen, including Victorians.

The Great Hysteria of 2020 will be written of for decades to come. How can an evolving virus, which 99.77% of the infected survive without a vaccination and 99.95% may survive with one, have had the impact it has? http://www.bmj.com/content/371/bmj.m3883/rr

Dan's playing it like a fiddle, having seemingly convinced 71% of voters he stands between them and the valley of death. After vaccinations he'll say, "Look! I saved your lives, vote for me!". The sight of the bloke sends me apoplectic.

I have aquired DADS, Dan Andrews Derangement Syndrome.

SR,

A 3-month-old poll?

This is before the Fwit locked down Melbourne for the 3rd time after yet another screw-up.
