This really does strike me as quite a petulant piece chiding Aunty for not complying with the author's ideology.

It seems the author may not have grown up with the ABC unlike the rest of us so may not appreciate that the organisation has had a role, especially through programs like 4 Corners, of creating news and Australians have been generally very appreciative of that voice.

That there are sustained attacks on our national broadcaster is no surprise as one of the strongest influencers on government policy is the Murdoch press empire.

Mr Essery is just another in the long line of people who are keeping up the barrage of misinformation and toxicity directed at our Aunty for having the temerity to highlight the very real concerns over things like climate change. We are extremely fortunate in this country to have a mostly independent organisation like the ABC with a charter of balance and professionalism. Let's hope it survives yet another assault on that independence.

Yep several US junkets for Sarah to find lying democrats and others in order to back up the narrative of Russian collusion and then billed as the biggest story of the century. Now that crooked Obama and his mates have been exposed as corrupt we hear nothing. To think that my money is given to the abc to push their anti western lies and deceit is really disgusting. Well Steeleee , Comrade , I grew up with the ABC , was a Argonaut and so on , BUT ,it was very very different , well respected , balanced Organisation in those days .
Your version of their ABC didn't exist then, so ,one can only assume that your memory is poor or is it just biased ?

What an ignorant statement. The ABC's Four Corners was a strident critic of the war in Vietnam, and also of South African Apartheid even when it wasn't government policy to do so.
