If price gouging or profiteering takes place? It's because compliant or corrupt administrations that can prevent it, instead allow or even actively encourage it?

It has to be exposed wherever and result in some hard prison time or exile.

Exile would be my first preference, given we all of us/the victims, would be better off without these R soles doing their thing in our midst?

Human nature and all that crap? Who needs it and why should we, any of us, tolerate this rabid dog eat rabid dog behaviour, for one minute longer than is unavoidable!

Especially now! It's tough enough already!

Lock them up and throw away the key!

AJ,

To expand: I am well over people giving sermons on subjects that they are no more qualified in than their readers are.

Good article Charles by pointing out all the rent seekers and grave dancers. My main concern is now our economy is not only on its knees but shattered that we will be begging for bread. The only good from that is that the Chinese could not care less about the man made gw myth. Hope people enjoy socialism for the next 6 months!

Tbbn, wise up he has 40 years water industry and academic and regulatory experience I would dream to have access to.

As for NSW Health. Dr Kerry Chant is on 500k + a year, and has misled Brad 'Hazard to shipping' to a career killing position. She hasn't woken up to that fact she has not only killed Australia economy but people by her @ low risk assessment process. Heads must roll and NSW Health, EPA and Treasury? held to task on this disaster.

tbbn did you actual read it, or do you just not like Essery, jealous perchance?

I want more on this, its the bureaucratic mismanagement disaster of the 21st Australan century. Hope it isn't surpassed, but then we do have the CCC brigasde, and they hate being upstaged,

AS I think I said before, those like tbbn Aidan et at who dislike Essery, check out the may 2005 Quentin Dempster ( Walkley award winner) over desalination/drought, its worth a half hour to watch and then review Aiden etal and Tbbn's judgement. A friend from melblrene said they sae Essery on the seminar run by media to stop their desal plant I 2009. Trying to track it down.
