By Peter Sellick, published 14/2/2020You would have to be a brave man to write a book of historical fiction centred around Paul the Apostle because Paul is owned by so many who would protest at any historical or theological anomaly.

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
My translation of the original Hebrew text:
And God blessed them, and God told them: "be fruitful, become many and FILL the earth and conquer it and tyranise the fish of the sea and the fowl of the sky and every animal that crawls¹ on the earth"
"replenish" is just a mistranslation of the King-James Version, or perhaps the English "replenish" was used in the 17th century to mean "fill".

¹ the word "romesh" can mean either "multiplies", "moves" or "crawls". Due to the similarity with verse 26, it most likely refers here to the creepy-crawlers
