No American President has been 'felled' by the Senate - even crooks like Clinton and Nixon. And, unlike those two, Donald Trump has actually done a lot of good. There is nothing to stop him from running at the next election

How can you say Trump has no sense of humour?
In September 2019, Trump retweeted a clip of Greta Thunberg's speech to a United Nations climate summit in which she angrily denounced world leaders for failing to tackle climate change by demanding: "How dare you?" Trump quipped that she seemed like a "very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!" Posted by EQ, Thursday, 30 January 2020 8:27:33 AM

Is Trump destined to fail? Well, if the most recent polls are correct, over 60% think so?
I could be wrong, but I believe he comes up against the, you can fool some of the people some of the time! MoreoverHis economic successes were in train and largely inherited. His own economic measures are by and large short term sugar hits the US will pay for later even as a tax-dodging narcissist seeks shelter in his Master's homeland? And I'm not sure he will survive a Senate hearing unscathed, He could still be tried for criminal tax evasion as soon as he is out of office. And that becomes a cold dead certainty if the Presidency goes to the highly divided democrats? And should if they set aside personal ambition in favour of a really popular candidate and the national interest. Remember an impeached President is impeached fo life and could see him scurrying to Russia his Moscow tower and his Russian operator, to escape his just due? Other than that he could engineer a war which involves the US? And given he achieves that? Able to declare a state of emergency and acquire enormous personal power he could direct at his political opponents at home. It would also entrench him for as long as the emergency lasted? By which time any semblance of democracy in the US will be part of their past. And nobody but themselves to blame and their dog eat dog personal ambition/business practices/competition. Alan B. Meh.
Donald's not on display with this impeachment tantrum thing. The "swamp" is. Posted by jamo, Thursday, 30 January 2020 10:21:58 AM

So many of the commentators remind me of a flea on a Great Dane.
Annoying little thing, biting at it's better, but really meaningless in the scheme of things. Some of the posters fit the same description. Posted by Hasbeen, Thursday, 30 January 2020 10:27:09 AM

No, he wasn't destined to fail. It's the swamp that is destined to ruin it for all for fear of their environment being filtered !
They're blaming the President for exposing them & they're hounding him with the most vindictive viciousness imaginable ! It's what the Left does everywhere ! Posted by individual, Thursday, 30 January 2020 10:28:06 AM

These two references provide a unique perspective on the Orange Haired Barbarian that now haunts the USA in particular and the world altogether.
http://www.williamirwinthompson.blog/2018/01/07/on-trump-and-reading-1-6-2018 Plus the same authors Facebook page titled Donald Trump and His Nativistic Movement. The Orange Haired Barbarian will probably be re-elected, therefore as such he will not fail. But unfortunately for all of Earthkind and not just the humans his appearance and applied politics are a manifestation of the inevitable failure of the TV created USA anti-culture that now patterns and controls the collective mind and psyche of most/all of the dreadfully sane USA every person. Which is to say that his possible reelection will definitely be a disaster for all of Earthkind. But then again the pattern-patterning that has "created" the current cultural and (possible) ecological disaster is driven by the almost unstoppable force of 3000 years of psychotic patriarchal culture. 'His "negative" outlook on life come from his lack of humour'
dear oh dear. How poor can someone judge someone. I think Keith means he dislikes Trump's humour and can't stand his success. Trump was the first President to have the guts to speak at the recent March for life. Life is positive while killing the unborn negative. Keith has obviously spent far to much time with the 'group think' crowd. If only these academics and journalist were prepared to judge things and people by truth rather than their own smearing hatreds. Posted by runner, Thursday, 30 January 2020 11:40:05 AM

“Barber argued that there were four presidential styles (which I think could be applied to leadership in any line of business and any organization). The four categories are derived from a person being either "active" or "passive" and from being either "positive" or "negative".
Would the author be so helpful as to nominate which of the 4 styles best describe himself? Alan B: “Is Trump destined to fail? Well, if the most recent polls are correct, over 60% think so?” Please specify which recent polls you are referring to, and the question asked by the pollsters. Slate reports that;
"The federal deficit is expected to pass $1 trillion this year and keep rising over the coming decade, the Congressional Budget Office projected this week. By 2030, the debt held by the public is expected to grow to 98 percent of gross domestic product, up from just under 80 percent today." Economic stimulus is an important tool for any government when a country is facing a recession or the like. But Trump is splashing it around like no tomorrow. Some day there will be a reckoning, and it has to be paid for at some stage. Posted by SteeleRedux, Thursday, 30 January 2020 3:30:04 PM

For several reasons I think Trump will win the November 3, 2020 Presidential Election
1. Different polls/betting agencies give different results. I look at http://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/politics/us-politics/us-presidential-election-2020-2982545 which tips: Trump is at the most narrow odds at 1.8 Sanders less likely to win at 5, and Biden 6 the other Democrats way behind. 2. Trump communicates well to many Americans. Sanders is a bit leftwing for Americans with too many "socialist" economic ideas. Biden is a bit strange - expect more footage of him kissing the back of the heads of woman he doesn't know and other "dirty old man" behaviours. 3. Most US Presidents in the modern era win a second term (eg. Bill Clinton (who also didn't resign after impeachment), then George W. Bush then Obama). 4. Arguably the US economy has thrived under Trump. More jobs wins more votes. Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 30 January 2020 9:54:26 PM

Ordinary people who make up the majority of voters aren't concerned about frivolous issues, they want jobs & Trump delivers in that field !

When the US elected Obama, I reckoned they were too far gone to save.
Then they confirmed they were yesterdays nation, by reelecting the buffoon. Then a turn around, & they elect Trump. Come this election we will know if we are sitting on the end of western civilisation. Without the US the west is finished. Without Trump the US is finished. The truly amazing thing is that so many who benefit greatly from it would think the end of the west would be a good thing. Posted by Hasbeen, Friday, 31 January 2020 9:40:40 AM

Donald Trump yesterday handed out pens after signing some deal. Have not laughed so much for a long time.
btw where have all the remainers in Britain gone? Seemed like everyone was celebrating departure. Another defeat for the regressive globalist who insisted the world would end if Brexit took place. With the public seeing through the lies of the lying liberal media and regressives what is their next target? Oh that's right 'climate emergency'! "Oh that's right 'climate emergency'!"
A rather abortive comment, Aye runner?! What with a year round fire season (since June 2019 and going strong) burning people in Australia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019%E2%80%9320_Australian_bushfire_season Posted by plantagenet, Saturday, 1 February 2020 5:32:25 PM

Dear runner,
I am glad you are amused by your president. He amuses me constantly. It does make a welcome change from your usual position, behind him with your lips puckered. However I do wonder if supplicating and fawning fundamentalist Christians like yourself have considered that Trump may well fit the description of the anti-Christ, especially when he comes out with things like; “President Trump is the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world, not just America, he is the best President for Israel in the history of the world...and the Jewish people in Israel love him....like he’s the King of Israel. They love him like he is the second coming of God...But American Jews don’t know him or like him. They don’t even know what they’re doing or saying anymore. It makes no sense! But that’s OK, if he keeps doing what he’s doing" The King of Israel? Wasn't that a title for David or Saul? But wait it gets better; "Energy Secretary Rick Perry in a recent interview with Fox News said President Donald Trump was the “chosen one” who was “sent by God” to lead the country." http://www.businessinsider.com.au/rick-perry-fox-news-trump-chosen-one-sent-by-god-2019-11?r=US&IR=T Then Trump even claimed it for himself saying "I am the chosen one" as he looked heavenward. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JsAQj36gCU Now I find this all very bloody funny but I'm wondering if there is part of this that gets you even a little bit wary. The anti-Christ may well have revealed himself. Does this stir the loins of our runner? I suspect it might. Posted by SteeleRedux, Saturday, 1 February 2020 6:37:09 PM

Well Steelie I suspect the anti Christ will be loved by the god haters and deniers. From all my observations the baby killers, the globalist and the Israel haters are the ones who hate Trump. So no he does not seem to fit the role. Let me know who else you come up with.

Dear runner,
Now I know you are probably suffering chapped lips but please concentrate. "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved." Thessalonians 2:7–10 NRSV (1989) This really does sound like Trump and his supporters like you doesn't it. An obviously guilty President is placed above the law by his adoring flock. By not accepting the 'truth' of his guilt in the face of his 'lying wonders' they may well perish. This is what he has done to the congress, the elect; "For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce great signs and omens, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." Matthew 24:24 and Mark 13:22 NRSV (1989) Trump is your object of worship isn't he; "As to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we beg you, brothers and sisters, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as though from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here. Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one destined for destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God." Thessalonians 2:1–4 NRSV (1989) You sir will be lost unless you repent of your idolatry forthwith. Posted by SteeleRedux, Saturday, 1 February 2020 11:47:15 PM

You are hilarious Steelie. You quote from the 'book' that you have mocked and denied ever since you have been on olo.
I suspect your hatred of Trump far surpasses any temptation at all that I would have to 'worship' Trump. Admittingly compared with the policies of the lying democrats who can't accept democracy, rejoice in killing innocent babies. deny biology and want to ban the mention of Jesus Christ in any setting, then Trump does look pretty good. But as a Messiah? No! Leave that to you in the warmist cult who bow to the altar of saint Greta. Posted by runner, Sunday, 2 February 2020 9:02:16 AM
