The Bloomberg factor: authoritarianism, money and US presidential politics : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 13/12/2019

The Donald has been casually venal in office, outsourced its functions for personal gain and treated his position as a theatrical extension of a social media presidency.

In my personal opinion it smacks of very poor taste indeed when those who benefit the most from the Public Purse, attack the ones who manage to fill the coffers !

Trump was elected the establishment and ted because the voters had had an absolute gutful of bogus applicants interested only in the wielding of power and the same old, same old.

His election and that of Morrison and Johnson, more of a protest vote from folk forever taken for granted by a mendacious and diabolically disingenuous establishment!

And a protest vote by the eternally disgruntled, lied to, and sure to grow from here along with the carefully cultivated and destructive division by partisan, do nothing real, blame-shifting, treacherous, Benedict Arnold, politicians.

Whose real legacy will remain how far they've sold their alleged constituents down the river!?

Consequently, I don't believe Trump will be very much harmed by the machiavellian mechanisations of conflicted democrats?

The democrats would be better served by a new deal and authenticity! As would labor here and in the old dart!

And not there yet on either example or count!

Contrary to one poster's aggressive assertions, one doesn't need proven facts to express a cogent persuasive opinion. Anyone who demands otherwise is actually, very stupid!

Alan, you have again proved my case in point.

Counter my facts with yours if you have any or do the right thing and admit you have no clue.

A classic case of put up or shut up.

No gold star for you!

Hi Galan

Your summations of the shortcomings of Mueller and Horowitz were very accurate.

However you did miss one important point with Inspector General, Horowitz. It was claimed he said there was no bias, particularly by Comey (Liar: Numero Uno.)

Horowitz later clarified that claim when he said he found no documentary evidence of bias, which in my opinion would be nigh on impossible to obtain, and that when he questioned FBI operatives about bias, ALL denied any bias. Well they would say that wouldn't they.
Horowitz was not looking at criminality and had no power to lay charges.

The other DOJ investigation, by Barr and Durham, is the much wider official DOJ investigation of the origins of the Russian 'interference' and is a criminal investigation. Charges can and are likely to be laid after its completion. I expect that to be presented much closer to the next Congressional and Presidential elections.

It will expose an horrendous conspiracy.

The result will be mass sackings and arrests.

It serves, them right.
Them? All the managerial elites in the deep state of the MS media, the State and Federal bureaucracy, state and federal education departments and institutions, universities etc, and politics,

It will include Mueller, Horowitz and anyone else identified in downplaying the roles played by the deep state idiots.

A President stonewalling congress the way this one has, may have n case to answer? However, if he has, then the evidence should be garner along with witness statements, and the chips allowed to fall where they may.

A trump friendly will ensure the Jury is loaded with friends who will find him, innocent, regardless of however compelling the evidence, witness statements.

And any whistleblowers will find their positions untenable their accounts frozen etc.

This man is Teflon coated and we may have t wait until he dies before he and his also temporary ilk will ever be held to account.

America has the finest democracy money can buy.

However, A benign dictatorship would likely be less corrupt?

I'll bet the founding fathers would turn in their graves if they could see the "land of the free" now!?
