This miserable excuse for a human being was in Sweden at the time he allegedly broke their law.

And conspired from London, with a US citizen to steal state secrets. And those state secrets the property of our closest and traditional ally! This is known! And he knew exactly what he was doing! But like most parasitic criminal hackers. thought that his London location would allow him to act with impunity. And it can't and won't!

Do the crime and do the time!

And as such should give pause to all those other miserable excuses for human beings to lift their game and moral standards and get your filthy nose and grubby hands off of other folks private property/data

He knew exactly what he was doing on all occasions both of which bear absolutely no resemblance to investigative journalism. And did what he did to try and escape the foreseeable consequences of HIS actions. And is still trying it on!

Or excusable under any civilised standard. Given they put real lives at real risk. Some of them possibly innocent women and children. Those seeking to defend this, empathy-free, immoral grub, birds of a feather?

Yes, Yuyutsu, as I commented a while back do not drive faster than
55mph and you may be pulled over by the California Highway Patrol.

Wow Alan I get the feeling you don’t like Assange, fair enough.

Facts:
Assange is a journalist, he and Wikileaks have won or been nominated for numerous international journalism awards.
Assange did not steal or hack any of the data he is being charged with, it was provided to him and Wikileaks by third persons/organisations.
Assange released information which revealed US/UK and other “Allies” committing war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes contrary to the Geneva Convention and then some. This same information was published by the WSJ, Washington Post, the Guardian and others, strange they haven’t been prosecuted too!

Assange was originally charged with rape, this case was later dropped due to a lack of evidence and admittance by the original complainants they did not want charges brought against Assange as they had been coerced into having him charged in the first place.
Evidence of the now failed “Russiagate” conspiracy against Trump, and in particular the Wikileaks released Democratic National Committee information was not hacked it was downloaded to a thumb drive with scientific evidence to prove so. This further clears Assange of any wrong-doing in this blatant propaganda drive to further deride his standing.

I could go on and on, learn the truth and stop relying on the MSM for facts, they don’t use them anymore.

I personally don’t like Assange, yes he is arrogant and too many other negative words to mention, but don’t let this cloud your judgement.

He is being vilified and persecuted by those he has embarrassed and revealed as criminals. You should reconsider your bias against him.

If he is extradited to the US either directly or via Sweden, you can pretty much kiss goodbye free speech, a free press, or what’s left of it and the end of investigative journalism forever.

Galen: the criminal Assange, is not my cup of tea nor those seeking to defend his deplorable actions. He is not remotely anything like a Journalist. Journalists are very different folk and validate their material before publishing it!

Moreover, no Journalist would seek to hack into the official repository of state secrets, unless spying for another hostile sovereign power.

And where they cease to resemble bona fide Journalists in any way shape or form and just become treacherous traitors!

No, I don't believe this miserable excuse for a man deserves the time of day and needs to face and front up for the consequences of his actions, all of them!

Free speech is not and never ever was carte blanche to steal state secrets! And a man, a real man, would have already presented himself to the Swedish authorities to face whatever crimes he is charged with while in Sweden.

Left to me, he and all his criminal hacker cohort can rot in jail and better than they deserve!

How could Assange be tried for treason if he is not a citizen of the USA?
How can a country that doesn't recognize the US definition of treason extradite him to the US?

Political expediency??

How? Ise Mise. By the country whose laws he flouted, requesting extradition from the country where he is currently residing. And if too petty or unsound could be denied. And has to meet the rules of evidence and probable cause.

An innocent man just doesn't seek sanctuary inside a foreign embassy, just to escape facing his Swedish accusers! And Sweden is historically less likely to grant an extradition request than the UK! So the criminal Assange's story just doesn't stack up nor his BS claims of psychological persecution!

The brits should simply process his extraditions request expeditiously in the order they were filed and that should see him Sweden, to face their justice for any Swedish laws, he broke?

Then after processing and any consequential jail time. Sent back to the UK or directly to the USA.

He's apparently terrified he'll die in jail?

Well, what did this a[pology for a quite grossly immoral man expect? A slap on the wrist with a wet tram ticket?

Do the crime, do the time! No ifs, buts or maybes!

Maybe he should just spill the beans and in a confess all, tell the UK and American authorities, he was only following the orders of his Russian handlers?

You know, the Nuremberg defence?

And as history records, that went well didn't it?
