Why we should care about Julian Assange? Because next time they come for us... : Comments

By Murray Hunter, published 31/5/2019

Why should we care about Julian Assage? His sad situation shows our future freedoms are threatened in a world becoming less transparent, more totalitarian.

Rubbish, this worm is no champion of justice, or a WARRIOR, fighting injustice and for our rights, just a contemptible worm, probable rapist and, I believe, a Russian espionage agent. and criminal hacker.

And without question, a narcissistic hedonist, without a shadow of human empathy to temper the way he uses other people and their hard-won resources!?

In all or any of HIS actions or responses, it has always been about or for Julian Assange!?

A man and a warrior, putting all on the line for the rights of his fellow man. Is not, never ever was and couldn't be this miserable excuse for a mature and responsible man. His problem, not prepared to accept the inevitable consequences or any shadow of responsibility for HIS Actions.

If you do the crime? Do the time! End of story!

Bulldust! Nobody will 'be coming for 'us' because a scumbag like Assange gets his come uppance. We will all be safer and better off if he gets locked up for life in America, a real possibility.

ttbn & Alab B you both miss the point !
It has nothing to do with what he might have done or did do.
A foreign government is charging him with an offense against their law.
He was not in the US and might well have been in Australia at the time
of the alleged offense.
US newspapers also published some of the documents in the US including
the video of the helicopter attack. They have not been arrested.
However if this is allowed to stand just do not say anything against
the US as you could be charged with treason, with which Assange is charged.

Why we should care about Julian Assange?

- Because next time it could be any of us.

Every day we must be breaking 100's of laws of other countries, knowingly or otherwise - just imagine if those countries were successfully demanding to extradite us there, where we've never even been, to be charged with breaking their laws!

Just found the info I wanted to include;

China, the Central Kingdom believes that only China is a sovereign country,
all other peripheral countries are vassal states.
These other states must pay tribute.
This principle is known as "tianxia".
President Xi recently made the point that the United States is NOT a sovereign country.
They do not recognise the 1648 Westphalian Treaty which defined what a sovereign country means,
borders government etc.

Do you see the similarity to the US position ?
