It is not that straight-forward because there are diverse types of zionism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_of_Zionism) and not all support Israel's territorial expansion.

For practical purposes, zionism ended on May 14th, 1948, when Israel declared its independence.

Now Israel is not and cannot be everything for every zionist that ever lived, so some are bound to be disappointed and some still fail to accept the independence of Israel and its right to serve the will of its own citizenry rather than their own fantasies.
