The Alternative for Germany: nazism or populism? : Comments

By Thomas Klikauer, published 6/9/2018

They honestly believe that Nazism was good, just 'the thing with the Jews' (sic!) should have been avoided.

The problem is neither solved nor can it be solved.

In regards to the suspicious AFD party in Germany, in the latest polls they now have the majority in the eastern half of Germany.

The problem in Germany can not be solved peacefully anymore since the Germans are totally divided and the extremists on both sides of the spectrum seem to become more and more extreme all the time.

I wrote some months ago here that I could post short summaries of the development and the mood in Germany, however, the copyright laws are in the way, I guess. I am not sure.

I fail to see how that would be the case. I post excerpts from all manner of sources on here all the time; if you're posting material that isn't your own just attribute it properly and it should be fine.

The centre of interest now seems to be shifting to the EU Commission
and President Junker.
The commission has voted to censor Hungary and has yet to move on
sanctions such as removing Hungary's right to vote in the commission/parliament.
Pres Junker has said that Europe's future is Africa.
As he is in favour of open borders I presume he means uncontrolled
immigration from Africa. That seems to be the idea he is pushing.
I suspect that things are about to move quite dramatically in Europe.

Regarding copyright laws, I have to obey the German laws since I am (still) in Germany, and copyright is much tougher here in Germany.

What idea Juncker is pushing I can't tell. Maybe he as well as Merkel want to save their faces and keep continuing what they did in the past while secretly hoping the circumstances will change for some external reasons.

There are rumours that a delegation from the German government has been to Australia to find out how Australia is securing its borders. On the other hand, Merkel sticks to her statement that it is impossible to secure European borders with Africa, as this is the Mediterranean sea.

An example for the abovementioned external reasons is 2015. After Merkel said in September 2015 everybody can come, about 10,000 refugees poured into Germany per day. Merkel categorically refused to close the Balkan route in order to stop the influx. "We will not close any route!" Days later other countries closed the Balkan route, and as we now know with relative certainty, German government was secretly relieved about it.
