Bypass whoever they please as they annex more and more Palestinian territory and give the Turkish Tyrant all the ammunition he needs to unleash hell in the middle east?

What makes you believe patently illegal negotiations between corrupt heads of state should somehow be legitimised by say, UN endorsement and ratification, David?

Or doesn't bona fide legality matter any more in this (ipso facto) land grab/annexation and barbarous consequences mater anymore?

World affairs are moving in ways entirely unfavourable to the PLO. All their erstwhile supporting states are under severe pressure from the USA/Trump and have their own problems to resolve. They never really cared about the Palestinians and only used them as chips in the larger game. But their worth in that regard is diminishing.

Meanwhile those states who used to pay lip-service to the Palestinian cause are now in need of Israeli and US support and good graces, due to the aggressions of Iran.

The Saudis for example are much more concerned about Iran than they are about the Palestinians and are quite willing to dump one to secure US and Israeli support against the other. So too many of the other Arab states threatened by Iran.

Jordan is reading the writing on the wall and hoping to get the best deal possible.

The PLO had its chance (indeed many chances) over the past three decades to reach a settlement with Israel. But they always wanted more than they could get. Indeed they thought they could win it all if they held out. Now they are in danger of being utterly sidelined and ending up in dust-bin of history, forgotten and completely unlamented.

"... where sovereignty still remains undetermined between Arabs and Jews."

No, there is no such thing as "Jewish sovereignty" or "Arab sovereignty", only "Israeli sovereignty", "Jordanian sovereignty", "Saudi sovereignty", "Syrian sovereignty", etc.

Sovereignty over the West Bank is against the true interests of both Israel and Jordan - should the mentioned negotiation occur, will they fight with their pencils: "No, you have it", "No, YOU have it"?

If the author desires Jewish sovereignty over this cursed territory, then let HIM along with other Jews of similar view, go there in person , form their own new state there and risk their OWN lives over it.

Do not expect either Israel or Jordan to pay for your personal ambitions with their own blood!

So they are also going to by-pass the Palestinian people?

Dear Michael,

«So they are also going to by-pass the Palestinian people?»

The "Palestinians" are up to no good, their leaders do not care for their people and nothing they promise could be relied on, so nobody should attempt to consult or reach an agreement with them.

Rather, everyone should do what is good for themselves.

For Israel, this means to unilaterally leave all the cursed territories it took in 1967 and build a tall fortified wall on its 1967 border.

For Jordan, this means to do nothing, remain on the East Bank of the Jordan river and not enter any negotiations with anyone about the West Bank.

The Singer-style Jews, if they have any guts to back up their words with THEIR OWN blood, may then move to the West Bank to be there in bed with the "Palestinians". What those two crazy tribes then do to each other, is their private domestic intimate business which should not concern any of us.

The "Palestinians", well they will continue to suffer and remain miserable victims anyway, regardless who is ruling their land, be it Israel, Jordan, the Jews or their own leaders.
