Do terrorists view us as human? : Comments

By Shane Satterley, published 6/6/2018

Who - or what - do jihadis think we are? Less than human? Or human and a threat to the values they cherish.

rache,
The indonesian variety are rather reasonable & kind in comparison to their Afghan, middle east counterparts & Christians.
There were huge muslim demonstrations in support of the christian Governor of Jakarta when the hardliners put him in prison.
Indonesia may well be the largest Muslim nation but it is also the most sensible, even of non-muslim.

Dear Rache,

Anyone who desires world-domination cannot be religious because religion liberates us from all worldliness.

Well they might still pretend to be religious, nothing new about that, but anyone who has eyes doesn't fall for that.

individual,
That was part of my point. Muslims have been universally labelled on the basis of the actions of a very small minority.
It would be the same as seeing and treating all Christians as if they were Mormons or Amish or treating all Jews as Zionist extremists.

Yuyutsu,
Despite the notion of "unworldliness", while many religions quietly encourage membership, Christianity in particular requires proselytism as part of their doctrine (Named the Great Commission).
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit..."
The practice is even illegal in many countries and I'm yet to have a Hindu, Muslim or Sikh missionary knocking on my door or handing out pamphlets trying to sell me the Good News.
