The march of the politically correct – reshaping our language : Comments

By Russell Grenning, published 7/5/2018

It is so extraordinarily Orwellian that even its own President Mark Huddleston has admitted that he is 'troubled by many things' that it contains.

Let me be the first to say it: anybody whose life revolves around PC thinking is mentally ill.

We all have within us the power to resist this shite with language. Unfortunately, too few of us have the interest, the intelligence or the courage to do so. So, there is no point in blaming universities or their Red lecturers who could not get away with what they are doing without the tacit 'approval' of the plebs, who are just to gormless and lazy to resist being led by the nose.

Of the retards; By the retards; and For the retards.

Idiots breeding and training more idiots.
If there was a machine that took just one idiot, and somehow multiplied that into dozens of idiots; that in turn created more and more idiots, like some twisted out-of-control Sorcerer's Apprentice thing what would you call it?

I'd call it - Australian Universities -

Well I for one am going to continue to practice speech in the non-politically correct fashion, and to those who don't like it, tough titties. I hope it drives you all nuts, back into the confines of your safe spaces or ratcaves where you came from.
And you can keep your Re-Education camps; ahem, sorry Universities.
And all the re-education bs as well.

What the bloody hell are they doing to kids these days, they're supposed to educate, not indoctrinate with Marxism and globalist agenda's whilst turning them into mental patients... and make them pay for the privilege with years of debt either to them or to the country at large and a likely addiction to antidepressants to boot.
It's sick; in fact this whole entire country is very sick indeed.

What it actually is 'Truthspeak' from George Orwell's 1984.
(They're behind schedule, so they're trying to make up for lost time)

Honestly, this bullcrap all started about 10 years back when someone decided that you couldn't tell kids 'No' anymore, and it's just snowballed with another new ridiculous example of backwards pc logic almost every day since.

What a giggle, it is hard to imagine a grown man being so stupid.
any word containing "man" is primitive, sexist and reactionary so "chairman"

Yet here is a university that was so ignorant they did know this;
The word "chairman" is not gender indicating.
The man part of the word refers to the hand or hands in English
as it is Latin and the chairman of the Roman Senate when he rose to
speak stood behind his chair and placed his hands on the back of the chair.

Yes, this whole PC business is actually very dangerous as it stops
people speaking up and speaking their mind.
It is in Europe having a dangerous affect on freedom of speach.

It's amusing that the Northern Arizona University professor thinks "humanity" is ok given that it also has "man" in it. But seriously "mankind" is inappropriate. If the article is saying it's appropriate, it could have explained why.
