Your logic would dictate holding all muslims to account for the transgressions of the fanatics.

The reality is that while all the protesters wanted to stop the ridiculous PC moves to sanitize history, most of them did not share the motives of the KKK etc. Similarly, given that the majority of violence is perpetrated by the left, anyone on the left could be labelled an intolerant thug.

This extreme form of PC sanitation of history and calling everyone that disagrees deplorable, is just the type of crap that led to Trump winning the presidency.
