If Turnbull is willing to dismantle the Liberal brand for his own ego, how then is he any better than Bill Shorten?

Dear Aidan,

«What I find far worse is that Turnbull is willing to dismantle the NBN for his own ego.»

Is this true or am I just dreaming? Will Turnbull indeed dismantle the NBN?

If he does, allowing me to keep my old phone-line, then I'm happy to kiss his ego, his feet, his bum - whatever, same for Shorten or anyone else for that matter who saves us from that terrible curse!

Hey Hasbeen, Given your alleged success as a multi faced businessman? And your current consequential bank balance compared to Turnbull's?

How would you rate him as a competent manager, when compared to your obvious reported success?

As for Shorten, he has to win a majority at the next poll that counts to win government? And given he does? God help my poor beggar country.

We are going backwards at a rate of knots because folk we elect to lead, don't or can't and are welded to 19th century technology along with 19th century, divide and rule thinking!

When personal considerations need to be completely jettisoned in favour of Australia's! Starting with genuinely affordable energy and consequent affordable water!

Perhaps you could read all I wrote here on OLO last thursday? Rather than skimming for something that suits a very obvious and demonstrably confirmation (extreme right wing) bias!

Alan I am so much richer, & more successful than Turnbull, in ways he, & probably you could never understand. Only one of my successes ever involved tax payer or share holders funds. That was flying jet fighters off an aircraft carrier. Thankyou taxpayer for that privilege. I was prepared to die defending you, but being given a lovely plane to fly, & a carrier to fly off, beats that hands down.

After finishing my degree I was at the forefront of the plastics industry development, when every day new technologies were allowing us to do things never done before. A fantastic time & experience.

Not being interested in becoming a rich old man, like Turnbull, I enjoyed my money. I have set Bathurst lap records, & am one of the very few who has even driven a Formula 1 race car at Bathurst, let alone won a Bathurst 100, in my case a Brabham Repco. Winning was not important, but driving such a fabulous car around such a fabulous place was really something.

I spent 8 years sailing the Pacific islands in my yacht, a truly fantastic experience, & then spent another 8 playing with tourist boats & exploring the Great Barrier Reef.

I have breed trained & ridden show jumpers & eventers, although not too seriously, as I was getting a bit too old to bounce when I fell off by then. Hell I even had enough earning time left to set myself up with a couple of lovely classic sports cars for my retirement.

Turnbull would be as jealous as hell if he knew how much more he could have done in his life, although I doubt he has the intelligence or physical attributes to have done what I have.

Turnbull is no more than a slightly luckier Bond or Palmer. Right time, right place, a bit of luck, & gamblers can become quite wealthy. The really lucky ones stop before they blow the lot.

Nothing would make me change my life for one as boring as Turnbulls.

“A superannuation policy that discourages thrift, a tax and spend budget, a same-sex marriage bill that steamrolls religious freedoms, an ever-expanding budget deficit and a Royal Commission into the banking sector. Still worried about a Shorten government?“ And there are more Turnbull quasi-Labor initiatives: Gonski II that ranks Catholic parish schools as being socio-economically equal to the Kings School; driving energy prices through the roof to ‘comply’ with the Paris Accord; installing unreliable, uncompetitive NBN

Raycom: Religious freedoms steamrolled? How terrible! I always believed anyone here in this country was free to practise any brand of religion. Always providing it excluded persecution of folks whose belief system differed from yours or mainstream.

Why we even allow asinine aberrations like scientology to exist and have relatively free rein, even when we believe that their practise might include cult like obedience and virtual slavery? No reasonable person could ever agree with!

As far as I'm aware no church service has been curtailed or cancelled and nobody has been prevented from venting an opinion, even some of the most robust ones. Nor can I find evidence of celebrant forced against their will to marry same sex couples?

Although a few may have unwittingly officiated, where one partner has been transformed by gender reassignment surgery? How could they know, when that surgery and HRT has changed the appearance of one partner so markedly?

Why they're even allowed to have their birth records altered to suit their new surgically and HRT arranged, gender appearance? And conceivably could be anyone inside or outside your organisation, workplace or school!

In any event all that has really been lost is an alleged right to discriminate against SS couples. And impossible to police wherever successful gender reassignment is in play?

Folk need to stop obsessing about this issue and their former ability to inculcate cult like falsehood, all of them inside allegedly religious schools.

I mean come on, it's time we understood homosexuality is not something folk chose but like left hand folk are the proven victims of the genetic code and transferred by a parent, mostly mothers? Who also have no control over the maker's handiwork!

And possibly created/allowed to test folk, who merely claim to be Christians or love their fellow man?

Albeit, any religion based on the musing of a child raping Peadophile has to be a brainwashed cult, rather than a God inspired belief, in my view!

I think we have all just put them in the appropriate box and nailed down the lid.

We will all just sit there and wait for someone to wake us up when
