There will be instances, albeit rare, where government discrimination serves a legitimate role of government.

You seem to be confusing two quite separate issues David? And want to allow racial profiling as part of law enforcement.

And because we don't or won't deploy space age lie detectors at entry and exit points; and prime targets?

Why?

Because some of that covertly deployed integrity testing may capture unwary pollies?

If not?

Then why are we still relying on Spanish inquisition like, [you must be guilty because,] techniques and or, racial profiling?

Or would if you but had your way?

Are your prospects of reelection really that low?

Definitely!

No one should ever be subjected to anti-discrimination laws so long as they remain truly private, including that they never received any benefit from government. This is called freedom of association - or the freedom to choose one's own friends!

However, if you voluntarily receive a benefit from government, then government has a right to impose its conditions in return, including non-discrimination guidelines.

One such voluntary benefit is incorporation, thus nothing morally stops government from imposing non-discrimination rules on companies and other incorporated bodies. Whether it is wise for them to do so, is a question for another day.

It might be all over bar the the shouting: Australians are now degenerate enough or weak enough to pass fake marriage for homosexuals; at best, they don't really care about anything any more, including morals and taboos that used to keep us civilised. But, Brexit and the election of Donald Trump weren't going to happen either, so who knows. And, if the filthy demand from the Left does make it through, you can bet that there will be legalised discrimination from our increasingly nasty politicians.

It's very wise not to go around publicly waving rainbow flags in South Africa either. They legalised gay marriage in 2006. Made sweet FA difference to discrimination.
South Africans are a bit more advanced in the thinking processes than Australians.
