Clinton, Assange and the war on truth : Comments

By John Pilger, published 23/10/2017

Wading through the Clinton book, What Happened, is an unpleasant experience, like a stomach upset. Smears and tears. Threats and enemies.

Good headline John.

Assange and the war on truth! His!

And so unlike you to be so truthful and precise about your, [birds of a feather,] mate Assange!

Putin sends his regards and gratitude. And reads as, well done thou good and faithful servant.

You'll have a nice day now y'hear.

You don't have to like Pilger, or his politics for that matter, but what he reports is factual and a strenuous look at the evidence confirms this.

The entire US government and the puppets who pull the stings are ethically and morally bankrupt. Thank god the hegemonic designs of the country are now in tatters.

Evidence, there is so much evidence online and within the alternate media sources even on a daily basis the corruption within the Government departments.

Why are Governments worldwide and the US Government trying to get rid of organizations like WikiLeaks simple they do not want to let people know what they are doing that they should not be doing and all in the peoples name as Americans.

Hey Alan B,
Dont you realise it's the US who is not fit to be global hegemon?
And whether America likes it or not the next 100 years will be China and India.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-22/australian-concerns-over-beijing-one-belt-one-road-trade-bid/9074602

What the Chinese do is for the Chinese, but I think it's foolish that we don't put in the infrastructure so our nation is more efficient and can batter adapt to a changing world, that's why we should build the Aussie section of the trade route.

America wants to keeps it's strength as global superpower by crapping on anyone that challenges its failing global leadership position.
Any change that is good for other countries but doesn't support the US position is supposedly bad.

I don't support the Communist Chinese but I do support fair trading with other nations and I'm sick of the left/right paradigm, and the gang mentality bs.

The US only exports scrapmetal, and iphones are made in China.
US is becoming quickly good for nothing, and the neo-liberal garbage coming out of there will destroy the West anyway.

Don't you see even a glimmer of McCarthyist hysteria in Clinton's Russia bashing? You ask for evidence that Russia was not behind Clinton's defeat. Well, where is the evidence that it WAS? Apart from incessant Russia Russia Russia repetition by the US and Western corporate media, where is the evidence? I'm waiting to see it for myself.

Simplistic simple minded assertions and allegations are not evidence! Regardless of the times they're repeated or the sheer volume of intellectually lazy people who repeat them! Or help their promulgation with the aid of counterfeit links constructed in downtown, St Petersburg?

Click on them at your peril!

Time, place and published article; and its validated reproduction verbatim! Qualifies as evidence! Not he said she said risible rubbish! Nor, I think he thinks this or that!

Yes perhaps Google tech talks and google scholar. Particularly if highly rated and peer reviewed! Chapter and verse please! Or article and Author!

I asked for evidence. You gave none. You asked for evidence, I (and others here) gave none. That's either because the evidence is not there or is too slippery to hold up to scrutiny.

With dozens of intelligence 3-letter alphabet agencies operating within the US and its allied nations, funded with billions of US dollars to provide evidence of Russian skulduggery, over almost a year since these allegations were first made, nothing in the way of tangible evidence has been provided.

All we ever get by way of 'evidence' is a plethora of anonymous insider alphabet sources that the mainstream media lumps under the umbrella of 'documents to hand' or 'exclusive to [media organisation X]' or an 'unnamed source', or a 'spokesperson who wishes to remain anonymous' or 'my sister's ex-brother-in-law's former girlfriend's nephew, who says ... Russia did it'.

100 years ago, we were told that the Kaiser was bayonetting babies. 400 years ago, we were told that the Irish were eating their own children. 50 years ago, were were told that communist North Vietnam attacked a US warship in the Gulf of Tonkin for no apparent reason. Less than 20 years ago, we were told that Iraqi soldiers were throwing babies out of incubators and leaving them to die on the floor. 15 years ago, we were told that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction that could create a mushroom cloud over New York within 45 minutes.

All were proved false. But at the time, they provided the justification for war and thousands, indeed millions, of deaths.

But this time it is different. This time it's the honest to God truth. It really is. So what if we create WWIII. The important thing is that - this time - those who tell us is so-is-so-is-so are really, truly, absolutely telling us the truth.

Why concern yourself about the truth when a good lie will suffice.
A lie might have short legs but the damage it causes is phenomenal .....and who is brought to justice as a consequence....very few and only where there's money involved.
Politicians responsible for wholesale slaughter of societies just walk away claiming it was the truth of the day....whatever that means...and the masses not wanting to accept they were duped... just look the other way. The measure of an indolent society
Do we demand accountability?....do we demand consequences of action? .... do we demand justice? ....only when it suits us and even then within the social memory retention span....in short 24 hours, then it's yesterdays news

Alan B. "Or help their promulgation with the aid of counterfeit links constructed in downtown, St Petersburg?"

What conspiracy theory are you actually referring to Alan B, and I'll try to find the goods on it?
Right now it's all 'narrative and conjecture'

Counterfeit links?
That's your beef?
Really?

Like the US stands for 'Democracy and Free Speech' -
- But its angry that someone in Russia expressed their free speech...
Seriously, come on... there just trying to sell you Hillary's whining narrative just like they tried to sell her and install her as dictator during the election campaign.

Everyone without dimentia knows the media supported Hillary...
Counterfeit Links = Buying into a crazy woman's rant - who can't accept or take responsibly for herself and who wants to blame losing the election on anyone and everyone but herself.

"The ABC Australia interview with Clinton is an outstanding example of smear and censorship by omission. I would say it is a model"

"Following the ABC broadcast, Ferguson's executive producer, Sally Neighbour, re-tweeted the following: "Assange is Putin's bitch. We all know it!"
The slander, since deleted, was even used as a link to the ABC interview captioned 'Assange is Putins (sic) [expletive]. We all know it!'"

Political correctness, and the ABC has been to the forefront in promoting it. The political correctness is systemic and so deeply embedded that many people may not even be aware of it when they themselves self-censor. To top it off there are the direct, blatant attacks of free speech by regulation.

It is as though the Sixties protests against censorship never happened.

Quote "Assange is Putin's bitch. We all know it!"

If that was the case why did he not go to the Russian Embassy rather than where he went.

There is lots of evidence the Americans have interfered with the elections and political processes of other countries, notice how this is conveniently not newsworthy by Bill Clinton as president would of been aware of this and Hillary as secretary would have approved some of these intrusions.
