Ah, I see, God wants us to develop closer military ties with Israel? And then share the quagmire they have so assiduously created in the middle east for themselves?

Better they, with their massive military might, should first offer to help us eliminate ISIS! Then ask for say, blue helmet assistance to police a fair dinkum peace deal which they will actually honor! Otherwise, what would be the point?

More than enough ANZAC blood has stained the ground in the Middle East fighting someone else's wars!

Our military build up has to be for self reliant self protection, not so we can fight other folk's battles for them! Albeit, perhaps we could ask our resident Muslim population for volunteers?

Been there done that at the cost of the cream of our young manhood and massive debt!

Better we should remain an island of sanity in a world gone mad, and do no more than defend ourselves, preferably on the enemies ground rather than ours, so the collateral damage will all be his!

If only the Ottomans, who were driven away in Beersheba, were nice people, fair and incorrupt.
If only the Bedouins of the Negev could refrain from constantly robbing the properties of their neighbouring farmers.
If only the Palestinians could refrain from bombing, running-over and knifing innocent people as they try to get about their daily life.

If only the internal crime-rate WITHIN those groups could be lowered.

They could and should have owned the land... if only they learned to behave!
