One Nation has a policy of having a Govt Bank so we can have debt free money for infrastructure. The Global Debt is 3 times the GDP of the planet and cannot be repaid. That's why I voted for them. I also know Malcolm Roberts personally and he is not a racist.Pauline is being branded racist because she does not like the Muslim Philosophy.

This piece is an example of everything wrong in Australia today.

No not a failure that results in the election of Pauline Hanson, but the failure of inner city high rise living folk to have any connection to the real world so many Australians, & indeed yanks live in.

You know the ones that even if they know milk comes from a cow, believe the cow supplies it already bottled.

High up in the little world of bankers, lawyers, academics & bureaucrats these people, hanging off a taxpayer teat as they are, have no line of sight to the real world, where those who work for a living dwell.

Thus they pontificate with nothing but thin air to go on, on a subject, us, they have no understanding of at all.

Kellie the way we vote is because of people like you, living high on the hog, with no understanding of the real world, telling what we think, & why we do so.

You are a pretty damn good example of this, & love, you are going to be trumped, if not by Donald or Pauline, by the next round, or even the next round of people like them, & indeed us, the ones you despise.

Well don't you worry about that, as a famous Queenslander used to tell the media, the feeling is entirely mutual.

Excellent article Kelly. You demonstrate the attitudes of the Hansonites well in your quote. It could best be described as xenophobia really rather than racism. But the main point that cultural diversity is a positive is well made and that this is insufficiently realised by the Hansonites. Multiculturalism is indeed a major positive in Australian society. The contribution of ethnic migrants AND refugees have been very positive generally.

My main comment is that the cultural diversity in Australia is regrettably insufficiently represented in our Parliaments especially in the lower houses. The principal reason for that is that we have single-member-district electoral systems which produce two-party systems and which give ethnic minority candidates little chance to be elected. The answer here is to introduce proportional representation - party list system as is common in most Western states and also in New Zealand which introduced it in 1996 after a Comprehensive Royal Commission Inquiry 10 years earlier.

Simplistic solutions to complex problems is still way way ahead of complex solutions to super simple problems!

And as elsewhere anti migration is central to the anti establishment political revolt!

So what makes you think an advocate for more migration and an open door policy, speaks for the average joe? As we watch the economy go to hell in a handbasket!

You want to neutralise Miz Hanson? Then here's how you do it!

Address the issues she bangs on about, rather than subvert them from a lofty ivory tower overflowing with too clever by half intellectuals, who want anything but what the average Joe wants, which is affordable housing, secure long term employment and a return to an economy that once again, makes things!

And when we've done that; open up generous migration to a country that needs it!

And that requires a very different not for profit energy and essential services policy/paradigm coupled to super efficient, drone and parasite proof, cooperative capitalism!

To expand, that energy is cheaper than coal thorium! And able to be delivered at less than 3 cents Per KH!

New cheaper and vastly more efficient desalination VERY CHEAP, SAFE, CLEAN, MOLTEN SALT THORIUM BASE NUCLEAR ENERGY will, allow us to completely drought proof australia, and turn arid wasteland into veritable gardens of eden that will welcome new settlers/bona fide refugees with open arms!

And given the MISSING political will!? INSIDE A FIVE YEAR TIMETABLE!

And assist that transition to high tech energy dependant manufacture, processing and value adding, with rapid rail and fast ferries made affordable with cheap abundant energy!

You need to rethink Kellie and just get the horse before the cart!

Preferably before you overload it with a huge heaping helping of sanctimonious hypocrisy?

Diversity is soooo important. An absolutely dominant mono-culture leads to stultified decision making, just look at the failure that is University, group think/hate except for the "in-crowd".

But much the same as with alloys, additions improve and make the steel, but too much makes it brittle and worthless.

It's becoming more or more difficult to promote the benefits of multiculturalism when we are daily bombarded with stories of asylum seekers who firebomb banks because they don't get the money and accomodation they want, of special crime squads needing to be established to cope with ethnic criminal gangs and details of huge Muslim families claiming massive sums of money from Centrelink. Not to mention minor issues like uunderage brides and FGM now creeping into this country.
Long gone are the days of the post war refugees who made such a huge contribution to this country without any expectation of being financially supported for life by the tax payer.
Quite frankly it would be hard to name any benefit to this country these days from refugees apart from those skilled in the jobs we need to fill.

People cant grasp the fact the Pauline Hansen is not your average polly.

Unlike your regular modern day Polly, the ones who are there to sure up their future, or just secure it via prolonged periods of being re elected, Pauline is an average every day person voicing here views, and connecting with many people who have had a gut full of the so called norm.

We pay our taxes only to see our taxes being wasted, then only to see us being taxed even more. Point in case being the proposed changes to self funded retired folk.

Moving forward our number one criteria for being accepted as an migrant should be, “If you have nothing to offer, we have no place for you” because to simply come here to feed off our 'over the top' generosity must become a thing of the past.

In fact, if people wish to come here they should pay say 50% in their wages in tax for five years (based on averaging their incomes) then repay any benefits they receive from that point on, and if they cant find work within say 9 months then they have to leave. Put simply, we have no room for passangers because we have enough of those already.

Lets face it, 50% of anything is better than the 100% of nothing they supposedly left behind.

They should also pass a 'no disadvantage to the country test' where they will be refused entry should their beliefs be that they impose changes on our way of life to accommodate theirs.

This piece shows to views of the 'elite of the elite'.
Diversity was a bit of a hoax, it was merely a stepping stone that fabians used to gain complete control of the cultural heights of society...once they took control the first thing they did was undiversify society by fining Christian businesses, retiring Christian CEO's and closing Catholic adoption agencies, and on and on.

Sensible people do not want Pauline Hanson "neutralised"; they believe in important diversity of thought. Tranter's "Trumpette" insult is typical of her "chardonnay set", who's already shrivelled brains are further affected by the chardonnay. And, of course, Hanson is 'racist' because Tranter and the winos say so; she and they also ignore the fact that our demographic was radically and UNDEMOCRATICALLY changed by the autocratic Malcolm Fraser, lockedstepped by successive governments without any reference to the Australian people - spurred on by big business and unelected, faceless power brokers.

Then she waffles on about diversity in the workplace (a huge interest to the average Australian, I'm sure), while she and her kind sneer at the need of the hoi polloi to have diversity of thought and freedom of speech.

Nevertheless, Kellie Tranter does us a service by keeping us abreast of the ratty, dangerous thinking of the Anti-Australian Axis.

So, Tranter the ranter is back with her moronic ideas. I agree with the consensus of comment so far, but let's look at the detail of Tranter's rationale.

The first clue is her reference to "asylum seekers fleeing prosecution", as though that's what they are, when all of the evidence is that they are mostly unarmed (but only on arrival) economic invaders. The daily shootings in Sydney, the Middle Eastern crime gangs, the disproportionate crime rates of African gangs in Melbourne - these are all part of the wonderful display of the benefits of multiculturalism.

Even the international moron Angela Merkel has admitted that multiculturalism has been a complete failure - then she invited unlimited Muslim immigration which is now in the process of destroying Europe, mostly through the massively increased rapes of women and children, riots, murders, assaults, intimidation and seemingly endless other crime. All of which will, in due course, result in extreme responses from ordinary people sick of the whole damned catastrophe.

Yet the likes of Tranter are blind to it all: self-congratularory poseurs.

Pauline Hanson is the canary in the coal mine. She has been warning of this type of decay since she first came to national attention and has been vilified by the likes of Tranter the whole time. I didn't vote for Hanson, but she has an important role.

Well, Ms Tranter, tell us why Australia's parlous migrant crime rate, particularly murder, robberies and organised extortion rackets (that are rarely reported), our massive social welfare spend on uninvited economic invaders, the lovely taxpayer-funded multi-culti polygamous marriages, the child marriages, female genital mutilation and the rest are all to our benefit.

Waiting...waiting...

Needless to say, Tranter is also a promoter of open borders and the global warming scam. If you haven't done so, please take a look at Tranter's blog, linked through her profile: the full range of her nonsense is instantly apparent.

cultural diversity does not and never will work when the people coming do not want to work or expect to want better jobs than they are qualified for, when they do not even want to learn English or assimilate in any way but expect us to change our society to the ways of the country they left.

Ms Tranter is typical of a certain, age, education level, employment
group. I even have one in my family.
They are frankly ding-a-lings !

They do not seem to be able to comprehend why people are concerned
about moslem immigration. They do read and watch TV you know !
They see what has happened to France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway & UK.
They simply do not want it here !
Get it ? It really is as simple as that !

They do not want to be oppressed by Islam.
Make no mistake that is the purpose of the 1400 year war.

So You want to neutralize Pauline Hanson… well that’s been tried and she is back 20 years later and the problems she is addressing are still largely the same. That is because people like YOU… never learn.
For starters the ALP attacked Hanson in an attempt to tarnish Howard and the Liberal Party. She was after all once a Liberal Candidate. Abbott and the Australians for Honest Politics bankrupted her party through financing legal actions against her. The reality had nothing to do. The democrats even though having policy compatibilities worked against PHON because they saw it as a Political threat. The Greens? Well The Greens have always been off with the fairies.
Hanson is not and never has been a racist… just poorly articulate. PHON started off as a traditional Labor offshoot policy-wise. The hypocrisy of Labor at the time was totally irrational. As for your empty and incorrect claims re diversity… in the world’s largest study on diversity, Putnum has shown that it leads to increased social disharmony. As for the workplace, let me tell you I almost lost a foot due to diversity and multiculturalism which in itself is a flawed settlement policy that has never worked properly or to our advantage, it has been propped up by billions of wasted taxpayer dollars.
YOU have no clue about Hanson or her party, you ignore the fact that many members have ethic heritages. Hanson said: I don’t care where people come from as long as when they are here they are Australian. Howard said: "We will decide who comes to this country and the circumstances in which they come"
Perhaps you suffer from cultural cringe and can explain why the promotion of assimilation, nationalism, loyalty and pride in being an Australian…is a bad thing?
As for banking on fluffy terms like “more likely” please… I’m more likely to throw up than laugh at your prognostications… but then again, maybe not.
