DMCA abuse: how corporations are using US copyright law to harass and silence individuals : Comments

By Murray Hunter, published 26/9/2016

However the act doesn't give respondents any recourse against a DMCA takedown notice before any material is taken down by the ISPs and OSPs.

This is completely corrupt corporate power out of the cage and free to violate human rights? Not the least of which is free speech as identified in the U.S. bill of rights? And automated autonomous technology gone mad!

While that is inexcusable betrayal by legislators? It is compounded by changes to intellectual property rights, where first to file can patent, rather than the actual inventor?

Thereby making an absolute mockery of the concept of free enterprise!? And indeed, absolute contempt for any fair rationalization of intellectual property?

Sad commentary in arguably the most litigious nation on the planet? That the power of the independent judiciary seems to have been emasculated in this area of civil jurisprudence?

And in the land of the dollar bill, those with the most of them are the ones who seem to have all their so called rights protected?
Trump that!

I might agree in part with AlanB's comment, but his atrocious grammar impedes comprehension.

AlanB, if you read this, please review your style before creating your next post.

Now, back to corporate abuse of the DCMA Act...

From my observations, it appears that religious groups or individuals, particularly creationists, are the one's who abuse these laws the most.

An example of a series of episodes that were forced down and re-posted by someone else as one big video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jU42uC9vag

It’s just as well there is a community of people out there dedicated to re-posting the videos that fall victim to these laws and the abuse of them.

Well this is just American stuff which needn't affect us in Australia. (USA) Americans are crazy, as we all already know, so the simple remedy is to keep away from there, avoid associating with them, avoid American products or websites and choose a local ISP that doesn't bow to their dictates.

Dear John, how immensely clever of you to notice my grammatical errors! I really must make my apologies for being partly sighted and the brain injury (stroke) that has made self editing demonstrably difficult! Now you being such a clever, much younger, more mentally agile chap!?

Perhaps you could rewrite my comparatively short commentary, minus the grammatical errors you claim to have found!?

Failing to do so, will just mark you as typical cyber bully playing the hypothetical man and not the ball, where alleged lack of comprehension is down entirely to your limited intellectual capacity, rather than my writing style?

Which by the way, will remain largely unchanged!
You have a nice day now y'hear.

That's about right.

Our SERVANT Govt sits idly, letting them do it which demos just how governed the govt is by corporate power.

Perhaps it might also be because OUR SERVANT Govt agree with what they are doing in which case they are guilty of treachery because their loyalties lie with the NWO.
