I think that the author's intention is to instruct his flock in this particular religious technique which involves biblical text: believing the bible and the corresponding theology, is a religious technique and when properly taught and practised, it can elevate its practitioners.

Unfortunately, the uncareful author must have selected the wrong forum to spread his teachings, because most of the residents of this forum have not been trained to distinguish between religious techniques and claims pertaining to physical nature. What follows as a result, is undue ridicule of religion, including this talk about "power priests".
