I know just how powerful the teacher lobby is but this is breathtaking nonsense.
The fact is a bloke called Cain sent Victoria into a huge financial hole which was repaired by Kennett. Part of it was to get some sense into education spending. Those solutions are now being unwound and we are back to more and more money being given to teachers. Not education but teachers salaries and conditions.
The irony is the more we pay them the worse educational outcomes become. That is the outcome and apparently the solution is to keep giving more to teachers. This is worthy of a whole forum on it's own.
