Hi doog

Further on Re "Can a backbencher contest a leadership,"

Here's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_Party_of_Australia_leadership_spill,_September_2015#Liberal_Party_voting_rules

"Under Liberal Party rules, any Liberal member of parliament or senator can propose a motion to spill the party's leadership. The leader of the party then invites a discussion of the motion at a party room meeting and makes a decision whether to call a vote on the matter based on the sentiments which are expressed..."

Further detail is here http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-06/liberal-leadership-spill-mechanics-tony-abbott/6069470

Cheers

Pete

Turnbull, Julie Bishop and Bill Shorten all cannot be trusted to deal responsibly with world affairs. Foolishly, they probably would go along with whatever flawed policy Barack Obama serves up.

When Turnbull goes for an election, his treachery will be remembered. Expect a loss of Liberal senators.

A centrist moderate says Hanson will gain some votes, no mention why this would happen.

Day after day with no govt; turmoil isn’t that a change from the last 2 years of treachery. Everybody must be happy in govt;

Contentment has overtaken the whole community. Except for the conservative far right faction of the liberal party.

Do you think Abbott will form his own party, there’s a few here that can not see why Abbott was even deposed. You have to be as thick as a brick not to know why Abbott got bound, tied and booted as far as any PM in Australia’s history.

Abbott may even join the Hanson party and take his followers with him.

I don’t want to say anything inflammatory but you know, it had to be tried and failed miserably, didn't it.

Plantagent So anybody can contest the liberal leadership, didn't they know Abbott was a Conservative.

Someone say’s Turnbull and Shorten are two of a kind, and take notice of Obama. I thought it was Toni that pleaded with Obama to include him in the Syrian bombing raids.
