Will Prime Minister Turnbull be the first Australian PM to visit Australia’s offshore detention centres? : Comments

By Kellie Tranter, published 23/9/2015

As a special treat he may hear patients being called by their boat number because, after all, there are so many people named Mohammad on the Island.

Ho hum, more pious sneering and fake moral superiority from the left wing.

It was better when the refugees were drowning by the hundreds, wasn't it Kellie?

No doubt the people smugglers are looking hard to see if Turnbull has any true substance or whether he is just a blatherer who wants to tickle the ears of the leftist luvvies from the abc and universities. Surely he would not have the hide to take the credit for stopping the drownings and scrapping the breathing tax. Then again he did demonstrate great slime in taking the leadership, something the regressives are use of dealing with and excusing.

The PM should take a look at what we were not allowed to know about, a failure to do that is carrying the burden himself. If what is happening there has an element of cruelty of illegality about it the centers should be shut down immediately. Mr Turnbull would be best to distance himself from detention.

Which is the best deal, disbanding the detention centres or paying places like Cambodia 15 million / customer to take them off our hands.

Abbott said the boats have stopped, but we are not allowed to know if that was actually a fact or not. Until we get some answers it is impossible to know. Turnbull is a more compassionate man and will have the makings of a good leader.

There are a lot of Runners at hand not knowing when they are on a good thing, doing it tough at the moment, can’t see past Abbott.

Why does stopping the boats have to involve keeping people in such horrific conditions? I thought the idea was to stop boats before they reached the mainland, not to subject them to cruel and unusual punishment for making the attempt. What's wrong with detaining them humanely? Animals in zoos are detained more humanely and we're talking about people here. And why do we need to detain women and children at all?

Turnbull is likely to do anything, including returning border protection back to Labor standards and upping the number of "Syrian refugees". He is also likely to be stabbed in the back soon by that outhouse rat and Gillardian-type, Bishop.

Ttt Instead of living in fear try living a life after toni. Everything comes to an end and some are more predictable than others.

By all accounts Turnbull should have more compassion for the environment. There is thousands of jobs waiting to happen with billions in investment. Instead of sleeping with coal, lets try what the world needs.

If Turnbull has got his head screwed on he will get an investigation going into detention centres and the stopping of boats to make sure everything is above board and further cleanse the Conservatives from the liberals. He would make a king out of himself in the eyes of the public. The non Conservative public that is.

Universities for the rich to be discontinued, that is a good idea.
