However, saying that "in Israel the politician's personal interest comes first, the interest of the political party comes second, favoritism comes third, and the country can wait" is like saying that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west: you could substitute any country in place of "Israel", including Australia. Moreover, was it ever different in Israel? would this not also be a perfect description of the rule of Mapay (Labor)?
