Array, your friend lied.
Hepatitis C is caused by a virus attacking the liver and it can't be 'cured' by diet alone. If he did have Hep. C, he needed anti-viral medications to become well again. A good low fat, no alcohol diet would certainly improve matters, but not without medications. These idiots who go around saying we can cure all ills by food grown in faeces are either liars or fools. They are the cause of many unnecessary deaths in people who are clutching at straws after some awful diagnoses. They make me angry. We can certainly help prevent strokes by low salt diets and maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle, but many people do these things but still have problems with high blood pressure due to genetic reasons. If these people don't listen to their doctor and take anti-hypertensive medications as well as a healthy lifestyle, then they remain at risk of strokes. Susanonline,he is not cured. He still has the virus. The Doctors did the count on his liver which is in the normal range for damage. The damage to his liver has been reversed.
So don't jump to conclusions. This guy has degrees in marine biology, computer science and business. He is a lot more intelligent than you or I. Posted by Arjay, Monday, 4 May 2015 11:22:24 PM

You have no idea how intelligent I am Arjay.
Did your friend take anti-viral drugs or not? If not, and he claims to have healed his liver by diet alone, then he needs to present himself to medical scientists for testing, because he may be a medical miracle..... Posted by Suseonline, Tuesday, 5 May 2015 12:09:41 AM

The trouble with testing blood pressure is that lots of healthy people don't conform to the 'norms' laid down so long ago. Some people, like me, have a naturally higher than average reading, but the difference between the systolic and diastolic pressures is also greater than normal [in me], and that is the important thing. I went to a medical practitioner for an infected cut, and for no obvious reason he took my blood pressure. Then said I had to immediately go on pills to lower my pressure, because as I didn't drink, smoke, and am lean and fit, there must be something dreadfully wrong. I pointed out that for the last 60 years I've had the same pressure, but he remained wedded to the idea that everyone should have an identical pressure to be healthy. Beware the influence of drug cartels on medical practitioners, and their pills, they make you sick.

Suseonline, the liver can regenerate and no,it was not the drugs because he was told the drugs would not reverse the damage. So the most likely cause was his diet.
Dr Rima Laibow is an MD and Psychiatrist and says she never treats her patients with man made drugs.http://drrimatruthreports.com/ It is about time the Medical Profession broke away from the big drug companies and started treating people on a holistic basis. The human body does operate in compartments. It is an integrated system. My own experience with the medical profession is they prescribe dangerous drugs to cope with symptoms rather than addressing the underlying cause and most of the time do not know what that cause is because they all specialise too much and are guided by corporate greed. Arjay, I am all for holistic care, and that principle is drummed into all medical professions during their training.
However, there are certain situations where only 'man-made' medications will help you. People always have a choice though, and many people, like yourself, adhere to the conspiracy theories that medical professionals and drug companies don't want to help people at all, but are just out to get you. That's no problem at all really. Luckily no one is forcing anyone to take medications. I have seen the results of people who thought the same as you...many times. SOL...labelling dissent as a conspiracy theory is a mark of desperation, as is deliberately misquoting the dissenter. Arjay did not write: " drug companies don't want to help people at all, but are just out to get you." That is your invention to attempt to discredit him. It is abundantly clear that drug companies have become the third most profitable enterprises on the planet by sometimes creating scare campaigns and inventing diseases to sell their concoctions. Arjay did not say it was a conspiracy, he merely pointed out a fact, that modern professional 'health' care is one sided and, as much research shows, too frequently does more harm than good.

suseonline "luckily no one is forced to take medications" Tony Abbott has threatened withdrawal of social security benefits if parents do not immunise their children ,yet he refused to immunise his two daughters with the Gardisil vaccine.
Coercion this way on poor families is forcing people to take medication because they have few options. Also Sodium Fluoride in your drinking water is a form of forced medication. They should be using Calcium Fluoride but the aluminium industry wants a cheap place to dispose of their poison. Sodium Flouride was used in rat's poison and Hitler used it on the Jews. Read the label on your toothpaste and it warns of it's toxic nature. Some countries are now banning fluoride in water supplies as they are now banning Monsanto Round Up. ybgirp " It is abundantly clear that drug companies have become the third most profitable enterprises on the planet by sometimes creating scare campaigns and inventing diseases to sell their concoctions."
Really? Where is your proof for this statement? I am no fan of the tactics of some drug companies but I believe that their 'concoctions' have helped far more people than they have harmed. Arjay, i am not getting into an argument over immunizations with you. This thread is about stroke epidemics. People who suffer strokes will be far more disabled if they are not given anti-clotting medication as soon as possible after their stroke. If you don't want to avail yourself of any of these 'poisons' then be sure and have your Advanced Health Directive up to date and in the hands of your next of kin...so no nasty medical professional can give you any of these 'poisons' to save your life if you are unable to voice your opinion. It is pretty simple really. Don't use the water provided out of the tap, don't give your kids or yourself any medications, and you will be fine. But leave the rest of us to make our own minds up. "Arjay, i am not getting into an argument over immunizations with you." A really pathetic retort suseonline. You raised the issue of compulsory medication yet fail to address the reality.

Think of it this way Arjay.
When you want to go on holiday and put your dog in the local kennel for safe keeping, you can't do this without first having had the dog immunized against kennel cough etc. They want to protect the other dogs at the kennel from non-immunized animals, so you can't put your non-immunized dog in a kennel. You gave to get the dog immunized, or make other arrangements for the dog when you go away. Simple really. Posted by Suseonline, Wednesday, 6 May 2015 10:18:34 AM

"There are things we can all do to help protect ourselves from stroke and other chronic illnesses, like heart disease and diabetes. Simple things like being aware of and managing our blood pressure, maintaining a healthy diet, stopping smoking and heavy drinking and exercising. A simple message but one that just doesn't seem to have been heard."
There is poor coordination in government and a lot of time, effort and money is wasted. Worst of all, there isn't the political will to do anything about it. -Except that is, where the squeaky wheel is causing political embarrassment. Here is an example of what could be extended to the general population, http://www.healthinfonet.ecu.edu.au/healthy-lifestyle-workers/toolkit#Barriers%20and%20motivating%20factors%20for%20people%20making%20healthy%20lifestyle%20choices Posted by onthebeach, Wednesday, 6 May 2015 5:59:15 PM

A friend who was diagnosed with Hepatitis C was told his liver count was 11 and his future looked bleak. He went on a diet excluding meats and dairy ,eggs etc, no coffee or alcohol. Fruit,Veges organically grown and nuts were his staple diet.2 yrs later his liver count is 5 and in the normal range. The Drs could not believe it.
Our medical profession is very ignorant and mainly are drug pushers of big pharmaceutical companies. You don't need most of these drugs.
