Israel is the real menace, not Iran.

If one is an agent of Israel (rather than considering the Australian perspective) then the title of the article is an Israeli priority.
It is certainly unfair that almost 50 years after Israel illegaly built its first nuclear weapon (threatened in the 1967 War) that Iran might be contemplating building its own. Alon Ben-Meir is to be commended - for services to Netanyahu. Posted by plantagenet, Tuesday, 7 April 2015 11:14:29 AM

'Israel is the real menace, not Iran.'
no doubt ateday you would prefer to immigrate to Iran rather than Israel. Your ignorance is as much the problem as Iran. Posted by runner, Tuesday, 7 April 2015 11:18:02 AM

"Moreover, because of Iran’s desire to distract the attention of the international community from its mischiefs, it has systematically exacerbated regional conflicts not only in its immediate vicinity (Bahrain, Yemen) but also further away, especially the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."
That's working well, a quick check of the 'posts' reveal the effectiveness of this strategy. Posted by Prompete, Tuesday, 7 April 2015 1:33:45 PM

Is there any evidence Iran's exacerbated a regional conflict in Bahrain? The allegation seems quite ridiculous, and sounds as if it's been invented by someone who sees things through a sectarian prism rather than looking at the actual causes of events.

This article is classic Zionist BS. It is disgraceful that OLO continues to provide space for such nonsense, especially given its marked reluctance to publish anything approaching a factual and reasoned analysis of actual realities. As Pete suggests, Netanyahu will be applauding but most of the rest of us will simply be sickened by it.

Hi James
Yes the Israel propagandists - now Alon Ben-Meir in addition to the regular DS - aren't satisfied that the US is sure to be bombing the territory of Israel's neighbour - Syria - for years to come. Ordering Australian jets to also bomb Syria may be Abbott's next (uniform chasing) foreign policy "initiative." Pete Posted by plantagenet, Tuesday, 7 April 2015 6:08:58 PM

The problem goes way back before 1967. The very notion that any ethnic group, “Aryan”, Boer, Jewish, whatever, or any identity with any religious cult, is more “special” than the rest of humanity and has innate supremacy is behind increasing injustice until it leads to global catastrophe. Power to the elbows of the Iranians if they manage to create whatever technology it takes to protect their country from expansionist Zionist aggression. The Zionists are past masters at playing “Let’s you and him fight”[1] to rope in the real homelands, and the more headway made against European and American commitment to pull the Zionist chestnuts out of the fire the better.
[1] As described by Eric Berne in "Games People Play" - e.g. Let's America and Iran fight. Posted by EmperorJulian, Wednesday, 8 April 2015 3:15:14 PM

Aidan:
Iran's involvement in Bahrain is highly likely: http://www.dw.de/irans-support-for-bahrain-protesters-fuels-regional-tensions/a-6504403-1 and http://www.worldtribune.com/2014/01/02/bahraini-coast-guard-intercepts-shipment-of-iran-weapons-for-shiite-insurgents/ plantagenet: Can you clarify your comment - what exactly does the satisfaction level of "Israel propagandists" have to do with Australia or the US bombing ISIS targets in Syria? Unless, of course, you support the right of ISIS to continue to pillage and kill as they wish? Posted by Avw, Thursday, 9 April 2015 1:44:54 PM

Giday Avw
Are you yet another of Netanyahu's sayanim? Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 9 April 2015 2:02:32 PM

Hey Plantagenet,
I wouldn't mind being one if he was willing to pay me, but since he isn't, I guess I'm not. How much is Ayatollah paying you? Posted by Avw, Thursday, 9 April 2015 4:03:18 PM

Dear Avw
If I told ya, you'd be envious. Cheers Posted by plantagenet, Thursday, 9 April 2015 5:24:55 PM

Any chance you can get me a job there? I've been looking for a career change.
Think of all the sayanim knowledge and experience I can bring to the table. Posted by Avw, Thursday, 9 April 2015 9:07:34 PM

More Zionist propaganda. ISIS was created by the USA and now like Al Qaeda have gotten out of their control.
