Iran, not ISIS, the real menace : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 7/4/2015

The EU and the US must insist that Iran, who has tremendous leverage on the Assad regime, modify its stance on Syria and play a constructive role to assist in bringing a political solution to end the tragic civil war.

Israel is the real menace, not Iran.

If one is an agent of Israel (rather than considering the Australian perspective) then the title of the article is an Israeli priority.

It is certainly unfair that almost 50 years after Israel illegaly built its first nuclear weapon (threatened in the 1967 War) that Iran might be contemplating building its own.

Alon Ben-Meir is to be commended - for services to Netanyahu.

'Israel is the real menace, not Iran.'

no doubt ateday you would prefer to immigrate to Iran rather than Israel. Your ignorance is as much the problem as Iran.

"Moreover, because of Iran’s desire to distract the attention of the international community from its mischiefs, it has systematically exacerbated regional conflicts not only in its immediate vicinity (Bahrain, Yemen) but also further away, especially the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

That's working well, a quick check of the 'posts' reveal the effectiveness of this strategy.

Is there any evidence Iran's exacerbated a regional conflict in Bahrain? The allegation seems quite ridiculous, and sounds as if it's been invented by someone who sees things through a sectarian prism rather than looking at the actual causes of events.

This article is classic Zionist BS. It is disgraceful that OLO continues to provide space for such nonsense, especially given its marked reluctance to publish anything approaching a factual and reasoned analysis of actual realities. As Pete suggests, Netanyahu will be applauding but most of the rest of us will simply be sickened by it.
