While particular aspects of the Monis case are a matter for investigation, the whole experience suggests that the pendulum has swung too far in the direction of 'compassion' and away from realism and national interest.

Agree 100% with that. Well said.

Problem we have is there're so many now who demand a say in what goes on within our own private spaces it's hard to know if there really is any such thing as private property any more. We only know there's private liability.
