OLO is to be commended for publishing this article, such a welcome antidote to the regular Zionist propaganda advanced by David Singer on this site. It has, predictably, brought out the usual anti_muslim rants from the usual suspects who seem incapable of (a) considering the factual situation set out by the author; and (b) giving a nano-second of thought to Australia's reputation in the world for its slavish adherence to the policies of this abominable regime.

I can do no better than quote the words of Craig Murray, former UK ambassador, in his blog on 30 April 2014, also commenting on John Kerry's rare moment of truth:

"A state which has hundreds of laws defining the rights and obligations of different groups of citizens by their ethnicity, enforcing zoning and separate education and public service provisions, and even liming the right of defined ethnic groups to live with their spouses, is a state which can be characterised by no other word than apartheid."

Murray goes on to suggest that Israel is even worse than South Africa in its apartheid days. The main external threat facing Australia at present is coming from extremists in the muslim world.

These people are also enemies of Israel.

It therefore follows logically that at present Israel is an ally of Australia.
