The fact that when life begins has been debated for so long does not mean the issue is resolved. People do not believe many 'expert opinions' about this, and will not condone the behaviour of professionals who think they know better than God. The parents involved here may not be aware, but the floodgates to open after realisation of braindead patients having 'vital organs to spare' is threatening and dangerous. Power in the hands of some is becoming more death conscious than life saving. Whether this course of action is successful, does not make it right. Clinically dead people on life support have woken up.

There is no such thing as death.
Hence no need to define something which does not exist.

At one time or another every body becomes permanently dysfunctional - or if the brain becomes permanently dysfunctional first, then even if the rest of the body still functions, we have no contact with it, so we will never be able to use it again.

Nothing else changes when the brain dies: all it means is that we may no longer have contact with our body, hence through it with the world and with others.

If we have clothes that we can no longer use, we often donate them away. Why should bodies be different?

A good article.
In the modern enlightened world we still unfortunately suffer from many cultural prejudices. Three relevant are the opposition to absolute personal autonomy, voluntary euthanasia and the mercenary motive.
There is absolutely no rational reason why people should not be able to give or sell their own body parts post or even pre-mortem.
We are not allowed to end our own lives because of the possibility our decision might not be made in full knowledge without undue influence.
The problem with that is that undue influence and full knowledge are elastic terms which only effect a very small percentage of would be applicants anyway. And the chance of those on organ lists who will die without transplant is generally around 100%.

Blame the religious or communitarian fanatics amongst us who believe life is totally sacred, even above the right of autonomy, or those who hate the concept of property and money, but until these bigots are identified for what they are, we are always going to have long donor lists, hand in hand with over flowing hospice wards full of suffering patients grieving that they can’t bequeath a parting gift to their loved ones or humanity in general.

With reference to your points....perhaps if donors or their estates were financially rewarded for their donated organs, maybe then the gulf between supply and demand for organs will narrow.

Another idea is to deem everyone a potential donor without any written consent needed. And those who for their own reasons want to opt out of donating then they should be made to go through the hoops of formalising their opting out.

The content..of the miracle-level..is not recorded..in the individual’s..unconscious,..because if it were,..it would..*not be automatic and involuntary,..which we have said/repeatedly it should be.

However,..the content..IS a matter for the record,

All psychoanalysts..made one common error,..in that
they attempted..to uncover..unconscious CONTENT...You cannot understand.unconscious activity..in these terms,..because “content” is..applicable ONLY to..the more superficial..unconscious levels..to which/..the individual..*himself contributes.

This is the level..at which he..can readily
introduce fear,..and usually does...Freud was right..in calling this level..pre-conscious,..and emphasizing..that there..is a..fairly easy interchange..between preconscious..and conscious material.

He was also..right..in regarding.the censor/as an agent
for..the protection of consciousness..from fear...HIS/major error..lay in his insistence..that this level.is necessary at all..in the psychic-structure.
